(Wow, Young Queen. I go away for a weekend, and you find all sorts of trouble for yourself.) Braeburn, this is a tough decision. On the one hoof, the youngling wasn't being very truthful about a lot of things, but she is right that Changelings don't get much trust in Equestria these days. Her story does make sense, and she has things that make it feel like a true tale. You can't exactly fault the adult Changeling for his actions, if he's supposed to be the guard for the Young Queen, he would be failing his duty if he didn't try to protect her, just like a Royal Guard for the Princesses. Tell the youngling you'll keep her secret for now, but that you want to know why she got separated from her guard.

Suggest he can go free as long as he stays by her side and only acts to protect her. Also ask about the love siphoning and how much changelings need to live. Is there a way to do it safely without ponies noticing or harming anypony in the process? (After all, rumors from Canterlot have been quite terrifying to the citizens in the open country.)
