Well... we can ask him to look for it, if we can't go find the tool. Us leaving the area to go to the volcano would mean we have to abandon the mission. Not something we want, but he's a party guest. We were able to control other characters before, like Flurry Heart, so why not? The works Vava could tell us is no, and explain why that won't work. Also... does that cave seem a bit bright for a cave?

Try using Diamond Dog transformation to break through the rock once you have enough love. After all, they are good tunnelers if memory serves.

Hug him intil you have enough love to transform into a siren to get the thing at bottom of that water you place.
