DBZ YR Chapter 05

It didn’t take long until both were in my bed. I think both figured out who I was and neither cared all that much. Both were interested in my handsome and rugged figure but the real thing that pushed them into my bedroom was their competitiveness. Mai would ‘accidentally’ slip and fall into my chest while Violet would ‘accidentally’ leave the door open to the bathroom while she changed.

One thing led to another and now I had three women living in my house. Both made it a contest to be the first to have my child as Launch just cheered them on. After one night of enjoyment, I couldn't help but burst out laughing at how my life turned out. Enemies turned to lovers then turned to the mothers of my children. I rubbed their two slightly pudgy bellies wondering what my next two children would be.

It had only been a few months, and I had continued my training but once again felt the bottlenecks that needed to be broken through. I made my way up to Kami’s lookout to ask him what to do. He mentioned getting training from King Kai. I didn’t recognize that name but at the same time, I couldn’t just abandon my family. It was at that point I heard a voice in my head. “Well, you can bring them up here or I can come and visit Kami for a while.”

I was shocked by the sudden voice in my head. I assume it’s King Kai and say it out loud. “Is this King Kai?” He chuckled before answering. “Well, I’m not chopped liver. So, you can come up here and train or I can visit Kami for a few weeks as I take my vacation.” The best choice is a vacation but why did King Kai want to train me? 

He read my mind and answered. “Because I also think something big is coming. The Freeza force is far more active than they have been in the past. I think Freeza is trying to prove himself to his father and brother. He’s purposely trying to expand as fast as possible to show how great of a ruler he is but a lot of people are getting hurt in the process.”

I could only mentally ask. “Who’s Freeza?” He sort of mumbled the first part before answering. “Oh yeah, I forgot you humans aren’t solar-bound yet. Freeza is the leader of the biggest force in the galaxy. He enslaves most planets. You’re in a backwater area in the galaxy so small chance he’ll bother you but it’s not zero. Eventually, he will if he keeps expanding or they find out there’s a Saiyan on the planet.”

Again I have to ask. “What’s a Saiyan?” Once again he sort of mumbles the first part before answering. “Now I remember why I don’t like teaching new students. I got to catch them up on basic knowledge most people in the galaxy know. So a Saiyan is the race of aliens your little disciple Goku is. It’s a race made for fighting.”

I was shocked but not that much. It would have made less sense if he was human. “I see you understand. Well, I’ll come visit. Can you get me a few souvenirs for teaching you while I pack?” I prepared some things I thought represented the planet before having my girlfriends pick out some things for him as well. I wasn’t sure how much he would want but I ended up with ten boxes of things someone not from Earth may think of as a souvenir.

By the time we made it back up to the lookout, he was already there. King Kai was a blue-skinned alien a bit shorter than me but taller than me when I was a bent-over old man. He pushed up his glasses before saying with a smile. “Well, I’ll just let you know I normally don’t teach just anyone. I’m doing Kami a big favor here by teaching you. Even still there’s one thing you have to do… You have to make me laugh!”

Hmm, that’s a difficult thing to do without knowing his sense of humor. I decide to go with a dad joke to start with. “Why is six afraid of seven? BECAUSE SEVEN EIGHT NINE!” He began to cover his mouth as he held back laughter. Perfect I got a million of these. “What did the farmer say when he couldn’t find his tractor? WHERE’S MY TRACTOR!”

His mouth stayed covered as he held back his laugh even harder. “What’s brown and sticky? A STICK! What do you call a fish with no eyes? A FSH! What’s green and has wheels? GRASS I LIED ABOUT THE WHEELS! What do a duck and a bicycle have in common? They both have handlebars EXCEPT FOR THE DUCK!” 

His chuckling became laughing. The laughing became full-blown laughter. Then he began to laugh so hard he cried. His laughing didn’t calm down for minutes as we all just watched him losing it over my jokes. “Alright alright, you pass my test. Do you want to hear one of my jokes?” I answered. “Of course, I’m in no hurry.” He told me a joke and I said another and we kept going back and forth telling jokes for a few hours.

The next few years were good, no they were great. I had a few more kids and learned many things from King Kai. Because I was a guardian candidate I could learn some of the magic techniques he could teach. The kai kai teleportation was insanely broken. It was too bad that it only allowed me to teleport around on Earth but he mentioned it was possible to reverse engineer it and use chi to bypass the Earth restrictions.

Spirit bomb was a nice new technique to add to my arsenal. I could use my ki seals to power it and cut out the middleman for gathering energy. Burning twenty seals worth of mana hurt but I could always build it back and I knew there’d be enemies that needed a hundred or even a thousand seals to defeat. Finally, kaio-ken. Kaio-ken was a great technique for fighting but I saw its potential as a training aid.

Kaio-ken effectively expands your muscles and ki with magic. Doing so would injure your body and you could potentially cripple yourself but the best way to grow muscles and ki is by usage. If I were to use kaio-ken to the point of failure and heal myself, I could increase my base power higher and higher indefinitely. Not only did I learn everything that King Kai could teach, but I also improved all my magic to completion and even made my own magic and ki techniques to solidify my fighting style.

I hadn’t got to use my transformation beam on any real person yet and was excited to see the results. I could feel the divine energy now. It was what we used to teleport around the planet and the thing that Kami used to make the dragon balls. Divine energy is like a better version of magic and ki. A magical person might be able to bring a person back to life for a day but a divine energy can revive someone forever.

Ki could teleport you at a huge cost but divine energy was like a separate pool made by people's prayers and anyone who could feel divine energy got access to it. Teleporting with divine energy took nothing from the caster but would use up some of the world's divine energy. The same goes for wishes, materialization, Now, on top of that energy you have god ki. You’re effectively absorbing the divine energy into your body and using it as a more powerful form of ki.

That was a no-no to do though as it would make you more of the god of that planet. You’d effectively lock your position to that planet and if you leave you’d lose access to divine energy and need to restart on another planet. All of those rules only function for humans though. Becoming a Kai would remove those restrictions and you’d get access to the universal divine energy and be allowed to take divine ki into your body.

King Kai said it was rare, extremely rare for a kai to train a disciple but our universe was constantly looking for them. Apparently, our universe is full of people who can fight on the same level as Kai’s and many have died because of that. They use a different type of ki altogether called evil ki. While weaker than divine energy it was more focused on destruction and corruption. Any being who used it had the chance to go insane and try to destroy everything.

There were talks of combined evil and divine ki but it had never happened. If it had that entire universe would be destroyed to safeguard the rest. Making evil godly ki was thought to be impossible though or the circumstances were so unlikely to happen everyone thought it was a waste to prepare for it.
