Awakening Audiobook, Part 1!

I've wanted to experiment with this video idea and format for a while now!
So for anyone who knows, I am an aspiring fiction novelist, particularly in the varieties within the fantasy genre. Awakening was a book I finished back in 2023, I believe, and I have been proud of it since as I find it to be the best version of any story I've written or finished. I've even started and worked on the second installment in recent months.
But I want to push it out more. And while I have spread it around different places, Patreon, Wattpad, deviantArt, even Bluesky, YouTube is not one of the platforms I've specifically introduced my story to. I've talked about Awakening on a number of occasions, but it has never been the sole focus of a video so far, I do believe.
I have wanted to try out an audiobook for so long, and initially I was thinking of doing the whole thing...but hoooooly shit I did not expect the first 5 chapters alone to be nearly an hour long! And of course Awakening has 25 chapters and an epilogue. So, I decided to start with a small portion the story. I may create an audiobook for the next 5 chapters, but I have not yet decided if I will continue it for the whole book just yet.
In any case I am very pleased with how this turned out. Not complex, though a bit time-consuming, and perhaps not with the best audio setup nor the best impressions. I don't expect too many people to find this very interesting, but this project is very near and dear to my heart and I want to share it to yet another platform.
Maybe one day I'll complete the audiobook for the whole story, we shall see!
