South Park Season 12 Episode 3 Is Weird! (Major B00bage)

I know South Park can get a little weird but this was stretching it even for me! Granted, it's still not as weird as that ridiculous Crab People episode, but still...
We haven't seen an episode focus so much on Kenny in quite some time; while the topic was certainly odd, it was a nice change of pace and made some sense with his character. Not to mention that the event that this episode was *ahem* parodying...I am and am not glad that I figured it out. Seriously, the South Park creators come up with some weird-ass stuff, I don't know where they manage to pull some of these ideas from!
(yes, a lot of events in the episodes parody real people and/or events; this wasn't exactly one of those, hence me questioning how this idea even came about)

The style of animation they're using for the drug scenes is called "rotoscoping." It's an old technique where animators would sketch actual models by shooting live action footage before animating the scenes to give it a realistic choreography and design, and this was back before digital animation and those ball suits. The model they used for the big-tittied amazoness in Kenny's trips is famous pornstar Lisa Daniels who actually looks like that in real life. Also, He-Man, She-Ra, and most of Don Bluth's movies utilize rotoscoped animation.

2025-05-08 04:17:14 +0000 UTCAh this is one of my favourite episodes. The whole scene where Kenny and Gerald are tripping is a parody of the wacky ass animated space film simply called 'Heavy Metal' which I thought Stone and Parker were fans of but they apparently hate the film. XD
