Watching Blizzard: Get out, Monday

I’m done with you, Monday. You’re over, you’re gone, it’s time to move on to the next calendar day, which— hang on, I’m getting a message from the Editor saying we have to review Monday before we can continue moving forward through time.

So to avoid getting caught in a dangerous temporal loop, let’s talk about Monday’s news.

Nothing is going as we expected in this Overwatch League stage

• The third week of stage 3 is about to begin, and the standings just look weird. The LA Valiant are at the top of the League, and the London Spitfire — who won stage 1 and took third place in stage 2 — are currently languishing in 9th place. Ouch.
• The only thing that isn’t surprising is the Shanghai Dragons keeping their last place finish. But the Dragons have been playing better in every match and I am really looking forward to seeing them win a game soon.
• But if you want more informed OWL opinions than mine, Anna has taken a look back at the highlights of the last week.
• And, of course, just after Anna wrote that, the Dallas Fuel kicked its team coach KyKy and DPS player Rascal. Rascal was one of three South Korean players on the team, but was reportedly ditched due to communication issues… and his South Korean teammate Effect isn’t happy about it. Gladiators player Fissure — who played with Rascal when they were both members of the London Spitfire — also chimed in with a thoughtful commentary about the difficulty of communications barriers on OWL teams.

Whatever happened to the Tuskarr?

• Okay, so they’re still hanging out in Northrend. But does that mean there’s no chance that they could join us as an Allied Race? Anne talks about it in Monday’s Know Your Lore.

It’s a lorenado of fun on the Heroes of the Storm PTR

• When we’re talking about lorenadoes, we’re talking about our new favorite hero Deckard Cain, who is now live on the PTR with more he hero changes, plus new skins and sprays.
• Expect all of this to go live next week.

The Hearthstone team has so much fun

• Catch the team talking about how the new expansion was made — and do their best Worgen howls, which is obviously way more important.
