Watching Blizzard: All the good doggos

Here at Blizzard Watch, we are all fans of good doggos. (Except for Matticus, who detests all things cute... and once had an unfortunate encounter with a not so good doggo, so please don't antagonize him over it.) And today all Blizzard-loving fans of good doggos got some great news, because a very good chihuahua doggo is coming to Heroes of the Storm as a mount. I'm hoping it has some kind of super cute name, but I will be happy to pet it regardless.

Oh, and for those of you wondering about that header image... about a year ago caster Jared Coulston ‏decided to see what his dogs would do with a pile of 90 plush Murlocs. While the video of this exciting event is unfortunately gone, there are still a few great pictures (and a hilarious story) online. I mean... come on, 90 Murlocs?!

Enough about Murlocs. (But not enough about good doggos.) Let's get to the news.

There's a new event and a good doggo coming to Heroes of the Storm

• Nexomania — like Wrestlemania, but in the Nexus — is coming to Heroes of the Storm with a bunch of sweet luchador-themed hero skins.
• And there is a chihuahua mount. I repeat, a chihuahua mount.

And in more Heroes news...

• Though it's nowhere near as exciting as a chihuahua mount, a new balance patch went live today with a small mountain of class changes. Maybe a modest hill of class changes.

Friends don't let friends DDoS Blizzard

• Because DDoSers wind up in jail. So please don't be the guy who is so upset about not getting loot that you DDoS the WoW servers. It's bad for us and it's bad for you.

If you want to play Hearthstone without spending any cash, we have a suggestion

• Ted's been using this system for the past three expansions to save up 5000g to buy cards each expansion launch. That's plenty to let you keep up with the game — and you $150 a year.

Do you like ranked PVP?

• Whether the answer is yes or no, it's not going away. But in Battle for Azeroth the system is changing to look a lot more like ranked play in Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm.
• And for anyone interested in the expansion's new world PVP system, there's also some interesting news: namely that you'll get a 15% experience buff for playing while PVP flagged. Nice.
