Watching Blizzard: I must have misheard you…

I’m sorry, but I thought you said that mount cost five million gold. Oh. Oh! It does cost five million gold.
Since I'm pretty sure I'll never have five million gold, that's the end of it for me and this beautiful dinosaur mount. It was fun while it lasted, my dino-buddy, but it's time to say goodbye.
And I’m going to stop that line of thought right there before I start crying. Let’s check out what happened in the news today.
Mitch has opinions about the Mag’har datamining…
- And because they’re opinions, you may disagree with them. Or you may not! Or you may disagree with me saying you may disagree! Anyway, if you’re interested in Mitch’s shadow-infused thoughts on the matter (and don’t mind spoilers), give his article a read.
Are you excited about Overwatch’s anniversary?
- We’re excited about Overwatch’s anniversary, and today our favorite person named Jeff gave us a new developer update video with all the details about the anniversary event.
- And while Overwatch likes to call them “developer updates,” I like to think of them as “hilarious future Dinoflask videos.” (Warning: Dinoflask is not always safe for work.)
Overwatch League is gearing up for growth
- And by growth, we mean there will probably be four to six new teams next season. In technical terms, that’s “a lot.”
- But going back to this season, Stage 4 returns tomorrow. Nate Nanzer has confirmed it will be running patch 1.22 (with un-nerfed Brigitte and un-reworked Hanzo), which should be interesting.
- And I feel comfortable confirming that tomorrow will feature the first Shanghai Dragons win. Shanghai vs. Dallas is the last match of the night, so stay tuned. With Dallas DPSer Effect bowing out of Stage 4, I’m not convinced the Fuel will be able to get it together to take down the improved Dragons team. We’ll find out tomorrow!
Why won’t Cubelock just die?
- Cubelock decks have been strong in Hearthstone for a while now, and despite upcoming nerfs to some Cubelock support cards, it’s probably going to stay strong. That’s good news for anyone playing Cubelock and bad news for anyone fighting a Cubelock. Check out these soon-to-come Hearthstone card nerfs, which hit Even Paladin and Spiteful Priest and Druid decks.

World Quest Bonus week is back, baby
And that’s all for now, mis amigos. Tomorrow we’ll have a new Hearthstone brawl as well as a Heroes of the Storm Q&A, so look for news on both. (Or at least I’ll write up the brawl as long as it isn’t boring.) Until then, this is Liz, signing out.
