Watching Blizzard: All announcements all the time

It’s been a busy day in the Nexus (and also outside the Nexus) with a pile of Heroes of the Stormnews this afternoon… but the rest of Blizzard’s lineup isn’t to be left out, with updates from Overwatch, WoW, and even Diablo. With all of that waiting to be unveiled, what are we all still doing here in the introduction? Let’s check out what happened on Monday.

Heroes of the Storm is going to the dogs

• Or dog. Singular. As in this horrifying new German Shepard version of Greymane that’s part of a lineup of space cop skins.
• Mitch tried to make it better. Or worse. Or better? I don’t even know anymore.
• But instead of being haunted forever by the vision of German Shepard Greymane, let’s move on to the patch that hit the Heroes PTR today. The PTR reworks to Sonya and Medivhwill probably hit the live realms next week.

Who is Overwatch’s next hero?

• And if we say Brigitte enough times, can it be Brigitte? A couple of new teasers offer hints, but no answers.

And on the Battle for Azeroth alpha…

• No, it doesn’t look like Zandalari will be Paladins because [SPOILER WARNING]. Uh, I don’t know where that came from, I totally typed [SPOILER WARNING]. Well, okay, you’ll just have to read the post. And don’t forget about those spoilers.
• And Anne’s alpha exploration (that’s a catchy line; maybe we should be using it in headlines) has finally landed her in Tiragard Sound. Check out her latest gallery of Anglepoint Wharf and the Norwington Estate.

This week in Know Your Lore

• Anne is still talking Elf drama, this time about the Nightborne and the Horde. (And in case you missed it, last week the Elf drama was about Tyrande and the Nightborne.)
• Did you read Rossi’s writeup on the Lightforged Draenei this Friday? Because it’s pretty great, and I’m not just saying that because I really love my new Lightforged Paladin. (T’PAARTOS!)

Yes, Diablo 3 is still a thing

• An unfortunately buggy thing, as a new matchmaking bug prevents you from making public groups with more than two players.
• But, hey, a new Season means new bugs. You can still jump into the Season solo or with friends, but it will be tricky to group up with random PUGs until the bug is fixed.
• Don't forget you can get this terrifying thing by playing in the latest Season. (I really can't decide if this is more or less terrifying than German Shepard Greymane. It may be a tie.)

The latest in esports

• We took a look back at the first week of Overwatch League Stage 2. Matches kick off again on Wednesday when the Shanghai Dragons have another chance to not lose a match.
• While we’ve seen more varied Support play in Stage 2 so far, the play Symmetra you cowards meme still holds. (Perhaps only Lulu can fully harness the power of Symmetra.)
• The HGC Western Clash kicks off this week, running from March 2 – March 4. There’s a good chance we’ll see the game’s next hero announcement there.
