Watching Blizzard: A quiet day where everything happened

Welcome back, fellow Blizzard Watchers! Aside from the a new batch of Hearthstone cards, Blizzard hasn’t had much to say today… but that doesn’t mean we don’t have things to talk about… so let’s get down to the news.

NYXL takes this stage of Overwatch League

• But not without some tough competition from the Philadelphia Fusion. Even if you didn’t catch them live, the weekend’s finals are worth watching. Here’s the showdown between New York and Philadelphia.
• The Shanghai Dragons may finally be ready to take home a win. New players Ado, Fearless, and Geguri are all in the country, and both Sky and new coach RUI have had their visas approved and will be joining the team soon. It looks like Diya will be returning, too — but there’s no word on Undead, who went home for personal reasons. The crowd was hyped for their last match — where Geguri was in the audience — and maybe that enthusiasm will help carry them in Stage 3.

A new Overwatch PTR has arrived

• No new heroes this time around, but there are buffs to Mei and Reaper.
• Also on the PTR, a new feature that lets you mark players to avoid, meaning the game won’t group you with them.

The Witchwood card reveals have begun!

• The card reveals will be continuing all week, and you can find them all here.
• And don’t forget, Hearthstone fans, soon you’ll be able to win packs for doing your daily quests. The event kicks off tonight at 11:59 p.m. PDT… which is around 2 a.m. for me, so I’ll probably leave it until tomorrow.

Warcraft in Family Guy?

• Yep, you can expect a Warcraft cameo on this weekend’s episode of Family Guy.
• Just remember that Sunday is April Fool’s, so, really, anything could happen.

The forgotten kingdom of Alterac

• Did you know that Alterac was once one of the seven kingdoms that originally formed the Alliance of Lordaeron? The ruins in Alterac Mountains were once its capital city… and in this week’s Know Your Lore, Anne tells the kingdom’s sad story.

Meanwhile, in the Battle for Azeroth alpha…

• It’s time to fall in love with the global cooldown, because a lot more abilities are on it.
• There are a bunch of new models in the latest build, and some of them are downright terrifying.
