Watching Blizzard: Happy holidays everyone!
Added 2018-07-04 01:39:08 +0000 UTCI'm just going to say that if you didn't hear that headline in Jack Skellington's voice I am disappointed in you. Sure, it isn't Christmas or Halloween, but it's still a holiday (at least for some of us). So happy early holiday to our American readers, and happy Tuesday to the rest of you. Tomorrow is downtime for the Blizzard Watch crew (and probably Blizzard, too), so don't expect anything to be happening over here. However, I will be writing the Queue (unless I forget about it between now and then) so you have that to look forward to. Unless you don't. Which is fine.
So let's stop chatting and check out the news.
Diving into the history of Diablo
- Game historian David L. Craddock is working on compiling a history of Blizzard North, chronicling the creation of the best game of all time, Diablo 2. And also maybe some other stuff. The project is currently up on Kickstarter, and if you back it, you'll receive the first volume in the Stay Awhile and Listen series, as well as the upcoming Stay Awhile and Listen 2.
I am in awe
- A 3-man group has taken down normal Argus. I can't even consistently take down Argus on LFR difficulty (though that's also with an LFR team). Check out this extreme feat of soloing, and read up on how they did it (and maybe you can, too!).
WoW has changed a lot since launch...
- And, really, it's no surprise since the game is nearly fourteen years old (aka almost old enough to drive, were it a person). A group of Blizzard devs have gotten together to make an hour-long video chronicling the game's changes — and it's worth the time commitment to watch it.
