Watching Blizzard: This Tuesday is patch day, next Tuesday is probably patch day...
Added 2018-07-11 01:24:27 +0000 UTCThese days, Blizzard has enough games to make Tuesday always patch day. Which is to say that even though World of Warcraft didn't get 8.0, we still had two patches roll out today. (Mathematically, that's a lot. Trust me on this.)
So let's get on with it and talk about the news.
Did I mention it's patch day?
- The Heroes of the Storm reworks to Raynor (yay!) and Azmodan (boo!) are now live (check out the patch notes)... but really, what's most important is the awesome shiny and chrome skins. Mitch very kindly rounded them up in a gallery for all of us to enjoy.
- Hearthstone rolled out a patch, too, most notably tweaking some minion types, with some now-elemental minions that could make an interesting impact on some decks. Also next month's ranked play reward card back is lemonade themed, which is both perfect for summer and super adorable.
But the big news from Hearthstone is all about the boom
- The Boomsday Project, that is. The new expansion is completely mad scientist themed and it looks pretty great. It's due out in August, and you can pre-order it now.
- The announcement trailer, which features Dave Kosak being a delightful lunatic, is also pretty great.
Still, the World of Warcraft patch is coming soon... probably next week
- Be sure to use your pet charms before it hits!
- And that means you only have a few more days to get your mage tower appearance. You can do it! I have faith in you!
It's not coming soon, but the Dark Iron Dwarves' Mole Machine looks amazing
- It's not just for getting you to the capitol cities: you can learn new locations to travel all over Azeroth (at least within the limits of its 30 minute cooldown).
