Watching Blizzard: Back to enjoying Overwatch League

Finally! Overwatch League has returned to us: the playoffs kicked off tonight and they'll be going on for three weeks. So we're back to the glorious days of esports (though done with the glorious days of the Shanghai Dragons, at least until next season). After those three weeks, we will be back living a quieter life, devoid of esports. (Mostly. There's always Heroes and Hearthstone.)

But until then, we're going to enjoy it. Here's the news.

Did I mention that OWL is back? No? Well, I'm mentioning it now, because OWL is back for the playoffs and Anna gave us a rundown.

Taking a field trip to Boom Labs

Yesterday, Hearthstone announced its next expansion: The Boomsday Project. Today, it started a series of animated shorts where intern Levi explores Boom Labs. It goes about as well as you would expect.
Also, I feel that I have to say something about this. There is a typo in the Tweet the Hearthstone team published about this video, and it causes me tremendous pain. Editors, people, please hire editors. (But the video is still great, and you should watch it.)

And that's all for today. I'm guessing it will be pretty quiet right up until the moment we hear about the pre-patch, at which point it will be all last-minute to-do lists and undocumented patch changes. Until then, this is Liz, signing out.
