Watching Blizzard: It's been a post-patch sort of day

Patch day was a bit shaky and there are still plenty of bugs, which is probably why Ion Hazzikostas spent the first ten minutes of today’s Q&A apologizing and explaining what happened. This Q&A didn’t feel like it had much in the way of new information, but Ion’s description of some of the behind the scenes tech was interesting. Check it out if you have a spare hour.
But what else has been happening since the patch? Let’s take a look.
Another case of extreme gameplay
- We’ve seen plenty of bosses taken down solo. We’ve seen Heroic Antorus three-manned by tanks. And now we’ve seen an all-Discipline Priest team kill Argus.

- The kingdom needs an heir… which means there’s a future queen out there somewhere.

- You can now buy specific legendary items from the vendor in Dalaran, and to get you started, you have 1000 wakening essences in your mythic chest, whether you ran a mythic last week or not. Log on to all of your 110 alts and grab something that will be useful for leveling into Battle for Azeroth.
Boomsday Hearthstone bundles are pricey… maybe too pricey
- After a great $50 for 70 packs bundle for The Witchwood expansion, The Boomsday Projectlets you pay $50 for 50 packs or $80 for 80 packs. It’s no surprise that not everyone’s happy about that.

- And it’s the new endorsement system, which has caused a sharp drop in toxic behavior.

- Nerfs, buffs, they’re all changes, and not a single support hero is going untouched in Overwatch’s refresh of the support game.
