Watching Blizzard: It’s quiet. Too quiet…

Another relatively quiet day has come and gone. In fact, the day's biggest news was about some of World of Warcraft's earliest history. (I'll let you guess which.)
Let's get to the day's happenings.
Is the auction house finally getting some fixes?
- The auction house is a mess, and it became more of a mess with the launch of Battle for Azeroth which made it laggy to the point of uselessness for a few days. Blizzard has put out a quick fix which raises the deposit for single-stack crafting items to discourage people from posting so many auctions, and we'll have to wait and see if that helps.
- But the auction house interface has been almost unchanged since the game's launch. Will this dinosaur of a feature ever get the overhaul it so badly needs to make it easy to use without an addon? I'm not holding my breath, but I'll continue to live in hope.
Remember the book about vanilla WoW development we talked about yesterday?
- Apparently we're all eager to read up on WoW's history. The book's Kickstarter campaign went live on Tuesday, and as I am writing this it has raised $131k out of its original $10k goal. So if you want a book, head over there to pre-order it.
- By the time you read this, it may have gone well beyond that. When I first checked the campaign, it was at $14k. Then $49k. Then $87k. And now it's $131k. Who knows what it will be by the time I get up in the morning.
Ready for more swimming?
Will 2018 finally be the year of Diablo?
A pirate's life for me
And that's all there is for the moment. Soon it will be a brand new day, and I'll see you then. This is Liz, signing out.
