Lore Watch Episode 104: 8.2.5 and the reappearance of Wrathion

This week our Lore Watchers Anne, Matt, and Joe eyeball the few datamined bits of information we have from the 8.2.5 PTR, including a new model for everyone’s favorite (former?) black dragon whelp. All grown up? Possibly. But what is Wrathion up to – and how does this tie into the future (and past) of Azeroth? Enjoy an extra-long episode with a lot of speculation! Please note: This episode does go into some datamined material for 8.2.5. While the material doesn’t really give a lot to go on at this point, if you’re avoiding spoilers for the PTR, you may want to come back at a later date.

For Patrons, we're happy to give you access to the episode before everyone else – enjoy it right over here on SoundCloud! Note that if you want to you can download it from SoundCloud onto your favorite device. And as always, let us know what you think. Thanks for listening!

I would increase my contribution if there were weekly Lorewatch episodes without hesitation!

More lore!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeez

I'd be happy with a weekly Lore Watch. That means I am not stuck waiting for four weeks for a new episode to listen to whenever they do ones on Overwatch, cause I just have no interest in that franchise.

Weekly Lorewatch please! It's hands down my favorite WoW podcast and I would happily increase my patreon contribution if it happened weekly :)

There can never be too much Lore Watch. If you want to make it a weekly thing, I will happily keep listening to each and every episode.

Winterwolf @ Dath'Remar

(I now imagine her appearing to end a battle kinda like the ending of the movie Dogma)

Hmm, if Azeroth 'awakens' and takes her planet body along, could this be what 'ends' the faction conflict? The watchful eye of this god-like entity that doesn't want us infighting? There doesn't need to be an "or else", as her mere presence convinces most of the members of both Horde and Alliance. Future PvP/Warmode would simply feature those that don't get convinced, whose hatred runs too deep.
