Added 2025-01-27 07:30:01 +0000 UTCDaicon started as amateur anime short opening film of only few minutes. They were made for a science fiction convention in Japan called Nihon SF Takai and were so very impressive! !
Daicon III anime in 1981 was only two minutes but really show some amazing skill by the young animation team that included Hideaki Anno. Daicon IV in 1983 was the one that make everyone say wow!! It shows so many science fiction famous faces including Star Wars and Superman and many more. Can you see them all??
What is interesting is that they do not have copy rights license to use any of these things.. and also the music is real and did not belong to them but they use it anyway!!
Later this young team would create their own animation studio called Gainax. When they created Neon Genesis Evangelion they become famous all over the world โค๏ธ
