A Reintroduction to the Merry Blackbird Postcard Society!

To every Blackbird, old and new: Good afternoon, and happy Tuesday! 

I have been a little floored by the influx of new patrons for September, many of whom are also new to my work in general! A welcome and reintroduction is absolutely in order. Thank you all for joining this little society, and I hope that you'll be delighted by your stay.

On your Merry Postmaster: My name is Marlowe Lune, and I am an illustrator of vintage taste and queer aesthetics. I am also a print maker, a book binder, and a garment sewist. I'm greatly inspired by the visuals of the late 19th and early 20th century! I am a trans androgyne, and my pronouns are they/them. 

On the Merry Blackbird Postcard Society: I created this society as a love letter to traditional mail, and for your support, you will receive lovingly crafted deliveries of art postcards exclusive to this Patreon! You will also have access to process work, time-lapse videos, themed playlists, and my undying affections. 

On your fellow Blackbirds: I have recently updated the MBPS mailing roster! If you are interested in exchanging cards, letters, trinkets, and anything else that can fit in a post worker's bag with Blackbirds across the planet, fill out this form! You will be added and given access to a document containing non-personal information about the hobbies and interests of fellow members, with social media handles to reach out and exchange information. 

On the Tiers: 

Jolly Jackdaws are my humblest supporters, and they receive their deliveries quarterly! Jackdaws receive the Postcards of the Month for March, June, September and December.

Crow Collectors receive the Postcard of the Month every single month, presumably to squirrel away in albums and on the walls amid their other tasteful trinkets! 

Raven Dandies are the most generous tier of the MBPS, and as such, in addition to receiving the Postcard of the Month every month to add to their own collection, they also receive an extra copy of it to write to friends and loved ones. Additionally, they receive a special Bonus Card every month! The Bonus Card may be treasured work pulled from my archives, alternate colorways, non-MBPS art, or other special pieces.

In conclusion: To my many new Blackbirds, I am so delighted that you are here to join us! To my old fellows with a little silver around your feathers: Thank you so dearly for your continued support. I am so fond of you all and what you've helped me to build. 

All of you are the greatest reason that I am able to make artwork for a living. I am able to devote my hours to making indulgent, baroque work that pleases me as much as it pleases you because you keep my larder stocked and my lanterns flickering. Thank you.
