💌 ✨ The MBPS is Officially Capped!

Good afternoon, Blackbirds!

First order of business: January’s delivery goes out into the mail tomorrow morning! Hooray!

Second, much bigger order of business: As of today, The Merry Blackbird Postcard Society officially has a membership cap!

As you all know, the MBPS centers on physical rewards: Personally packaged art postcards in the mail every month. However, there is a limit to the amount of deliveries that I and my little workshop of blackbirds can pack each month. The day that I meet that limit has been a long time coming, and it is finally on the horizon.

✨ The MBPS will cap at 800 members. We are currently at 628 total members. ✨

HOWEVER. I will be rolling out this cap in stages, starting this month with a cap of 670, and increasing it in February and again in March when I will install the final cap of 800. Why do it this way? Because being able to more accurately predict how many cards I will need to order for a coming month lets me order them much earlier, and thus get them out to you much faster!

What this means for those of you who are already members is that your ability to jump between tiers, or to come and go from the society entirely, will become much more limited. If you change or give up your slot, it may be difficult for you to get it back! Every month, around the third week, I will post what the current state of membership is so that members get an opportunity to adjust their tiers before the public is notified of open slots. (You should also always be able to check for yourself on the page where you can adjust your pledge!) Then, in the final days of the month, I will tell the public what slots I have available for the coming month if any.
