🌿💀🗡June Postcard of the Month

Good afternoon, Blackbirds! 

This month has been a real frenzy, and next month will only get more chaotic as I handle my move to Providence! I appreciate you all very much for bearing with me as I keep all the balls juggling. 

As most of you have seen elsewhere, one of the reasons that this month kept my hands full was that I announced the next major project that I’ll be embarking on: I’m excited to share with you all that I’m working on a debut original graphic novel, titled Anise & the Devil. To celebrate that enormous announcement, June’s postcard is dedicated to Anise and her pair of sweethearts, Yarrow and Tamarind. Participating in the time-honored tradition of redrawing that *iconic photograph* of Anne Hathaway, Audra McDonald And Raul Esparza in Twelfth Night was truly long overdue, and this darling vee was just perfect for it.

Anise & the Devil is a fairy tale about a girl, a witch, and the Devil himself. Shortly I will be going on submission with my agent in search of a publisher, and all told it will be quite a long time before A&tD reaches the rest of the world, but you can come along for the journey and read every page as I produce it on the Anise & the Devil Patreon. I wished that I could more easily have made A&tD available to you lovely folks already supporting me, but the projects are simply so different that running them both through the MBPS Patreon would have gotten very confusing very quickly; hence, instead, I chose a single-tier pledge amount of $4 that I hoped would be as accessible as possible while still providing me the support I need to manage both projects. 

This postcard will be delivered to all members of the Merry Blackbird Postcard Society, as June is a Jolly Jackdaw delivery month!! 

Very shortly I will be announcing the June Bonus Card for Raven Dandies, which I’m very excited about — it’s a premium gold foil card!! 

And lastly, the Summer Archive Sale will be this week!! You’ll be able to buy a pack of last year’s cards from June, July and August! I’ll post more information about that within the next couple days.

The deadline to be eligible for June’s postcard delivery is Tuesday, so please adjust your tier to your preference by then! There are plenty of spots open in all three tiers currently.
