Rise of the Battlemage (Poll)
Added 2024-06-13 20:27:33 +0000 UTCWhile Deacon goes on a Jedi adventure, the rest of the team is working on stabilizing the Skyforged Vanguard with new recruits! Tatnia is good at what she does, so while she is working hard to find new people, she stumbles on a small group of recruits who are experienced in their field. What is their field?
(To be clear, most of the people Tatnia will find will have experience with what she hired them for. These people are particularly skilled, standing out against the rest.)

I am liking the story mainly for the fact that here is someone that has no M count and displaying force like abilities. Also for the off chance of Deacon seeing Yoda or Vader.

2024-06-16 16:20:15 +0000 UTCI'm wondering how feasible a Beskar/Cortosis alloy for commando Droid armor would be. Because that would be fucking nasty. Blaster AND lightsaber resistant armor on droids? Use a few hundred of those to take over some Star Destroyers and he'd have an incredibly powerful fleet. Take three for himself and sell off two or three to the resistance for some concessions such as refueling support. It's a long term plan obviously, but still. Beskar/Cortosis Commando Droids 🤤 🤤 🤤

2024-06-14 03:14:38 +0000 UTCWhile I see the points in officers and crew for new ships, Best Girl Mira™ could use a team on the home front. Back end engineering support will allow them to keep the current ships up faster and more reliably. Also new "acquisitions" will get ready to operate swiftly. I would also think it's funny for battle hardened and disgruntled mechs/techs/engineers be slapped down by Mira in a show of technical awesome.

2024-06-14 02:46:59 +0000 UTCI like to think there are quite a few veterans from the Clone Wars still out there. The Clones made up a lot of the republic, droids the CIS, but there were still plenty of organic ship crews and soldiers etc that probably just quietly retired when things collapsed

2024-06-14 02:23:44 +0000 UTCPilots are good, but more mechanics and you could build a whole robot army….and really the clones only won because it was scripted like that, machines can replace meat bags a lot faster….storm troopers aren’t a problem if you start deleting their gene pools….ok sorry that got pretty dark..🙈

2024-06-14 00:56:34 +0000 UTCYeah I'd have to say officers and pilots too. Those are specialized skill sets. They already have a genius mechanic and her crew, and with how many ships they keep stealing they definitely need more bridge officers and pilots for small craft. Plus droids with specialized programming (which our genius girl can totally provide) are almost better than basic humanoid ground crew. Give a mechanic a team of droids and set them loose on ships and you're good. Can't really say the same for ship command staff. Normally I'd say more ground troops because losses will occur and, not to sound callous, but they're easily replaced. Especially with droud backup. But even that's not the case cause they all get fucking Beskar armored suits lol. With clone troopers training new recruits? He'll have plenty of ground units. Edit: the thing about droids is, they can be mass produced. And they have a literal Droid manufacturing facility attached to the station. Have Miru design a fully custom repair Droid with custom programming and wallah, instant repair crew. Just make sure a living person is in charge and you're all set. Not only does that increase your repair abilities but it makes efficient use of the limited people you do have.

2024-06-13 20:46:16 +0000 UTCI would say the pilots, after all their ship is a pocket carrier. Droid pilots might be good, but sentient pilots would be better.

2024-06-13 20:37:40 +0000 UTCWould not starship officers know or have with them good engineers too?
