Arcane Focus Creation: An arcane focus makes casting and holding spells easier, as well as costing less mana. The first level is basic creation, taking simple materials and combining them with basic rituals to make low-end arcane focuses. The second level is more complicated, with multistage rituals, complicated crafting and more powerful results, with specific benefits (element attunement, even cheaper casting, easier wordless casting.) Third level includes some more esoteric and strange creations, including mixing some clockwork into designs, as well as really pushing what a "focus" might be. This subject only has three levels.
Druidcraft: (First and Second Level) - Allows for control and influence of plant life. At level one its basic plant care and buffs directly affecting the plants. Level two includes more direct control, but requires the plant or seed to exist in the first place. Level three would include creating plants from "nothing" as well as creating plant combinations that don't exist in nature. The fourth level would include things like plant golems with slightly more intelligence, like spriggans or treants.
Weather Magic: High-powered, previously cut subsection of rituals used to change the weather. Level one would provide rituals that can slightly adjust the weather, making it a few degrees cooler or hotter, or making the rain slightly harder or lighter. Level two increases the efficacy and gives them ways to encourage certain weather to happen later, IE, in a few days or so. Level three increased potency further and can set the weather a day in advance.
Familiar Magic: Magic involving the finding, binding, utilizing, and enhancing a mage's familiar. At level one, the magic to find and bind your familiar, as well as complete simple tasks as communicating and bonding with them (bonding increases compatibility and communication). Level two allows more advanced abilities and provides rituals to improve (make stringer faster smart) your familiar.

Originally went with weather magic cause I liked the idea of him downsizing it to make pocket cloud spells but it looks like the votes leaning a certain way so I want Familiars. Useful ,sometimes adorable and an extra body for the team, also the potential of him maybe giving some to others is always tempting.

2025-01-25 18:59:05 +0000 UTCI vote familiar. Druidcraft sounds good on paper but even if it gave him poison ivy level skills, big roots and vines cause a ton of damage. He’d bet very limited on when he could go all out. Granted he could do smaller scale stuff like creating pollen grenades that put people to sleep.

I’m still voting familiar though. Druidcraft is cool and all. But that’s been the main focus for a LONG time. After this, something new would be neato

He could literally Poison Ivy his way to victory given enough time. Grow Golden Apples granting super healing and immortality, acidic vines capable of melting brutes. All kinds of shit really. He could turn that little patch he's got in to an impenetrable fortress. On the down side, Piggy will absolutely lose her shit if she finds out he can bio tinker plants.
