March Development Report

Hi! I'm still working on the combat system, but I've already finished working on the animations for the Fists and even started adding new weapons. So I have already added a new weapon for the Strength attribute, namely Club. But due to minor problems with the character's body rotation, I made only basic animations for the club and decided to postpone the demonstration a little, but in the meantime I prepared a demonstration of animations and new punches.

Kick:

• Added the ability to use a kick. The kick has a higher push force. A kick uses more stamina than a punch with your hand;
• Kick allows you to push the enemy away. Each opponent has its own weight, so it will not be possible to push the bear as far as the spider;
• A kick stuns the enemy longer than a normal attack;
• The kick has three animations that are played depending on where the player is looking (height);

Power Punch:

• Added Power Punch. It is called when the mouse wheel is held down. Unfortunately, it has not yet been possible to call it while holding the LMB due to a conflict with a normal punch;
• Strength now increases the damage of a power attack;
• Power attack spends more stamina, deals more damage, stuns for longer time and pushes the enemy;

Misc:

• Added animation of running with weapons;
• Attack Animation: Increased attack range of fists;
• If you stand too close to the wall, the character's hands react to it and press against the body. Also, the character will not be able to attack and lean forward so as not to look through the wall;
• Fix animations for picking up items and plants in combat mode;
• Fixed hands/weapon twitching in combat mode when rotating the camera vertically;

Club:

• The Club item has been added to the game and can be used as a weapon;
• Added animation of Club equipment;
• Unfortunately, due to problems with body turns, the left hand was moving away from holding the club, so I decided to use the old system for the weapon. In parallel, a bug with twitching of the hands when raising and lowering the camera was fixed;
