Melinda and fabrics

I had nothing better to do so I spent the entire morning fitting clothes and undergarments with our spectral housekeeper. Through this activity I found out something interesting about Melinda; She is unable to wear certain types of fabric.
I made her try on a silk robe and to my surprise the robe just fell off, same thing happened when I tried to put a fur cloak on her, the whole thing just went through her form. However it seems like she can wear garments made out of linen or cotton with no problem.
