Breena: "Put your shirt back on Brenda before you get sun burns, and choking out Jakar won't fix her or this predicament we're in. Believe me I already tried"

Brenda released Jakar's unconscious body and rummaged through her back pack, pulling out a blanket to cover the rest of herself from the sun

Radne: "What do we do now? how do we get back to the guild?"

Brenda: "Get back to the guild? what about getting back to our own time? I heard stories about rift-jumping gone wrong and it sent people a few centuries into the past"

Radne's face blanched after realizing what that meant for her.

Breena: "Relax Radne, those are just rumors, you'll see Moris again. But it doesn't change the fact that we're stuck here, I already expended the rift-jump spell stored in my dagger so we have no choice but to find other means of returning."

Brenda: "I know! We could contact the boss and ask for help. If we get an answer at least we know we're still within a few years in the present time-line"

Breena: "AGAIN! THOSE ARE JUST RUMORS!"

Brenda produced in her hand a guild medallion, a red diamond-shaped shaped crystal which also serve as a talking stone. She pressed the gem in the middle and began sending a message

Brenda: "Boss we fucked up... What year is it? .... we are in a desert... can't return, please pick us up"

A few minutes went by and the anxiety is starting to build up, what If those stories Brenda was talking about were true? What if their party really were lost in time?

Fortunately, the boss responded:

Boss: "The year is 733, I think I know where you are.... I can send help, keep an eye on the skies"

Radne: "Great! now we just have to survive long enough until help arrives, how hard could it be?"

Brenda: "I think we're in the Cursed Sands ; the only known desert in this continent, and if I am right let's just say this place is appropriately named, so yeah, surviving will be pretty hard. "

Breena: "Alright girls, off we go... and Brenda don't forget to carry Jakar"

Brenda: "Tssch! do I have to!?"
