This version is still VERY far from what will eventually be (what is currently not finished and I also plan a lot more), but I couldn't wait to give you something so here it is
very simple (as always) changelog
-many improvements to heightmaps
-heightmaps are now the default mode (normalmap mode is still available, just change the currently used mode in the settings)
-improved nether fog
-tweak the brightness of many nether blocks to improve visibility in the nether
-improved Daylight detector
