Foreign Energy Resistance (I) – 4% of reduced potency. 6% chance of being able to use the mana in spell casting

Underage Titles

Underage Skill Development – 36 earned points delivering 1 free point, every class level. Next threshold bonus 64 points. 

Underage Spell Development- 24 points delivering 1 free point, on every 4th class level. Next threshold bonus 32.

Underage Earned Ability Development – 29 points currently earned deliver 3 free points, every class level. Next threshold bonus 32 to deliver an extra 1 free point per class level. 

Negative Titles

One Exploit too Far – Prevents precognition of fate applying beyond a 4 minute window

Tom smiled as he took stock of what he had achieved. Just on what he had earned so far and assuming that he started with an expert class he would be earning 6 attributes from the class and then a further 11 points from his various titles.

He wasn’t finished yet. From the underage titles he was hopeful of gaining another 3 points before it hit fifteen, one from each of the titles. Then there were the tour titles which would let him earn things like vitality font, which was one extra attribute per level.

If he added all those benefits up he was looking at realistically earning 24 attributes per class level which was four times what most people got. 

Key Spell Descriptions

Spell: Spark – Tier 0 (Level 27)

Create and control small streams of electricity near your body.

Sideways Evolution 1: You have 20% improved control over this spell

Sideways Evolution 2: This spell has improved potency. The stun component ignores 100% of resistances and has a 30% increased chance of stunning.

Threshold bonus 16: Volume of electricity produced is increased by fifty percent.

Note: This spell has been constructed from component parts without the help of the system. If Spark is used in future evolutions or transformations, instead of automatically forfeiting the base spell, you will have the option to keep it in its unaltered state.

Spell: Touch Heal – Tier 0 – Level 10

You can heal yourself and others if you make physical contact with them.

Sideways Evolution 1: Boosted Diagnostics. For the diagnosis stage of the use of Touch Heal, time is dilated at a rate of 64:1. Once you begin healing, the time flow will return to normal.

Sideways Evolution 2: Superior body. Resilience and the speed of injury recovery is increased with the following specific additional benefits.

·        Robust Organs – Efficiency of all organs increased by 50%. Some individual organs also have a more targeted boost.

o   Liver is an additional 250% more efficient.

o   The heart can now continue beating through catastrophic injury.

o   Skin is 20% tougher.

o   Stomach gains an extra 100% boost to digestion.

·        Stronger Bones. All bones require 60% more pressure to break.

·        Enhanced Blood – Oxygen carrying capacity of blood is doubled and you will bleed 50% less.

·        Internal Sanctity – Mana cost to destroy or move substances (foreign or natural) in the body is reduced by 25%.

Sideways Evolution 3: Internal Barrier, Constructed internal barriers can block foreign substances a full tier higher than what proficiency and energy invested in the spell would usually allow.

Sideways Evolution 4: Active Resistance Boost. For 16 mana, this spell can be applied to increase resistance to all purgeable foreign substances and energies by 32% for half an hour. 

Sideways Evolution 5: Improved Efficiency. Touch Heal is 50% more potent when used on self.

Spell: Earth Manipulation – Tier 0 – Level 21

Allows you to manipulate Earth or Stone you are in physical contact with.

Sideways Evolution 1: When touching Earth or Stone gain passive control over the nearest 1.6 cubic metres of material.

Sideways Evolution 2: Earth Manipulation is 20% more powerful.

Sideways Evolution 3: Attempts to harden earth are 50% more effective.

Sideways Evolution 4: Cohesion of earth constructs is strengthened by 20%.

Sideways Evolution 5: Receive a 100% boost when contesting for control of earth or stone with another being.

Key Skill Descriptions

Skill: Integrated Domain – Tier 8

This domain can incorporate all skills and spells you have learned. Passive abilities are absorbed automatically while active ones will need effort to embed.

The primary benefit is that active spells and skills can be cast from anywhere in the domain and it gives secondary benefits of improving spells by 20% and skills by 50%.

Starting domain size is a thirty-metre sphere. 

Skill: Social Silence – Tier 7

This is considered by some to be a powerful social skill, and by others to be the most insidious of curses. A spirit gifted with precognition keeps watch over you, and if you are about to say something that is likely to have a moderate negative social impact or worse, you will be stricken with two seconds of silence.

The same attempt to convey an idea may only be blocked three times, unless the recipient mentally acknowledges the block as being in his favour in which case it will continue to occur.

This skill has been applied as a curse and cannot be removed.

This skill has zero levels and cannot be turned off.

Skill: MAKROS’s Unhinged Fury – Tier 7

When you perceive something or someone to be unjust, you will be infused with the status of ‘Unhinged Fury’ until you successfully destroy the focus of your ire or are defeated by it. For the entire duration that this status lasts, you are forced to channel part of the rage of a GOD. This was crafted for you personally, Tom, and you will cower before it. Every time it triggers, you’ll tremble before its divine provenance and know your insignificance. Your tiny little brain will be forced to register the simple fact that no matter how far you run or how powerful you become you will never escape this, and it will bring about your end.

Unhinged Fury has the following properties.

·        Physical attributes after all other modifiers are applied are increased by a percentage related to the depths of the rage. This will be a minimum of a fifty percent boost but can rise to up to a three times multiplier if the fury is sufficiently intense.

·        Soul attacks are boosted by up to three times modifier depending on the degree of anger.

·        Soul defences are halved.

·        Capacity for rational thoughts and self-control are removed in proportion to the strength the blessing gives. May the rage conquer all.

·        No new spells can be cast or active traits utilised. The ability to manipulate existing spells and active traits are reduced by 90%.

·        Skills can only be used if they facilitate destroying the designated target and suffer a severe penalty to efficiency. Bash, maul and crushing skills are enhanced by the rage and not diminished.

The longer the skill goes between uses the more likely it is to be triggered and the intensity of the generated rage will increase.

This blessing has been applied as a curse and cannot be removed.

Skill: Collision Mitigation (Tier 2)

Collision Mitigation utilises freely generated fate and environmental adaptation to reduce the impact of collisions on the user.

Effectiveness scales with level, and the amount of fate available adjusted by class level. Cannot be purchased from the competitor store.

This skill is an Earned Skill. 

The prerequisites you met to earn Collision Mitigation are:  

·        Used technical falling skills to stave off death before a collision on multiple occasions.

·        Used fate to stave off death before a collision on multiple occasions.

·        Used a non- momentum / gravity / force Spell to stave off death before a collision.

·        Used a non- momentum / gravity / force Skill to stave off death before a collision.

·        Used a trait to stave off death before a collision. 

Skill: Store Precognition Mana – Tier 1

This skill boosts Aspected Mana Storage and allows the trait to store four times more precognition mana than usual. When stored mana is above the baseline amount 2% of stored energy will be lost every minute.

Key Trait Descriptions

Trait: Speed Matching

Have both your perception and thinking speed boosted to ninety percent of the level of any person, animal, or beast that is attacking you. It will only trigger if you’re aware of the enemy.

This trait does not boost body abilities, but will assist in expedited spell and skill usage. 

Trait: Flat Mana Reduction

This trait covers the first ten mana of any system recognised spell.

A cooldown equal to your mana recharge time will apply to each unique spell.

Trait: Explosive Growth Equaliser.   

When fighting an opponent of a higher rank, you will receive seventy percent of the gap between it and you for each individual attribute.

If you are fighting multiple opponents of a higher rank, each one will give you five percent of the original gap between yours and its attributes up to a hundred and ten percent of the maximum attribute value of any opponent you are currently fighting.

The trait ensures you are fully adapted to use the increase in attributes.

Trait: Attribute Burst

You generate 4 bursts per day up to a maximum of 128.

Bursts can be used as follows.

·        Quadruples all base attributes for 1 second.

·        Triples all base attributes for 3 seconds.

·        Doubles all base attributes for 8 seconds.

·        An increase of all base attributes by 50% for 32 seconds.

Maximum attributes gained is equal to rank 100.

Trait: Fateful Earth Body

This trait grants the following.

·        When stressed by action or combat:

1.      Your body will perform 40 percent better than expected. This bonus stacks with all other boosting abilities.

2.      Occasionally, actions technically impossible under normal physics considerations will successfully execute.

3.      Unaspected fate will be released and, if not used after eight seconds, will be assigned to a random beneficial outcome.

·        Additionally, when your body is about to take a detrimental injury as determined by precognition one or more of the following will occur:

1.      Speed will double.

2.      Skin will harden as if your vitality was a hundred points higher.

3.      A magical earth shield will form to absorb the blow.

·        Generates two points of earth affinity mana per minute. This will increase in line with your magic attribute.

·        Finally, your body quadruples the effectiveness of the trait, ‘Aspected Mana Storage’ for earth aligned mana types. 

Key Title Descriptions

 

Title: Known Heretic (5): The regard of GODs is a heavy burden especially when you are aware of it, and it must be balanced by positives.

Reward: All who know you, even in passing, will be affected by a passive influence.

·        Benefit 1: Those stronger than you will think more highly of you and will be reluctant to act against your interests and more likely to frequently gift you a valuable item tailored to your needs.

·        Benefit 2: Those weaker will perceive you to have more strength than you actually possess, and treat you accordingly. They will regularly feel compelled to give you tribute that will also be shaped to benefit you as much as possible.

·        Benefit 3: Those who view you as an enemy will struggle to plot against you. Orders and requests for help from their allies will be garbled and mistranslated in your favour. Magical tracking spells will be significantly more likely to fail.

·        Benefit 4: System Resources will be more tailored to you.

·        Benefit 5: Anonynmous gifting. When gifting items affected by this title the receiver and all observers will not attribute the gift as coming from you unless you specifically wish to receive credit.

·        Benefit 6: Any item that has passed through more than three hands will be considered as new if it is gifted back to you. Note: GODs scrutiny applies to this and any personal explicit attempts to exploit the method will result in all associated items beign destroyed.

The title makes it almost impossible for anyone but yourself to recognise the effects of it. Any gifts received will not be noticed by others.

Awarded for:

·        Being aware that you are known by name and reputation by all eight GODs.

·        Have had at least two GODs actively plot to affect your life

·        Have had a god physically try to kill you by affecting Existentia directly.

Mythical Title. Title is hidden from all but you and your patron GODDESS, so no ranking points or experience may be awarded until this status is revoked.

 

Title: One Exploit too Far (I)

You have attempted to arbitrage the system and use fate for a purpose beyond the bounds of its intended use cases. You were at a conscious, or at the very least in your upper subconscious aware that this action went against the GOD’s plan for the ability.

The transgression was for using fate for divination.

The human racial skill has a loose relationship with the future when it is used. By design, the ability influences probabilities to achieve a future impact. To maximise efficiency, this involves a level of precognition to determine what random chance event to influence now to get the maximum benefit in one, ten, twenty minutes’ time or in a week, month, or year.

As a result of your attempt to exploit this link, the following penalty is applied.

Permanent Penalty: Any fate you spend will be barred from using precognition at any time horizon greater than four minutes. As a result, your fate’s efficiency in time frames beyond four minutes will be materially nerfed.

Note 1. This is a contagious title. If you give guidance about it, instead of the recipient being barred from it, they will instead receive it immediately. 

Note 2. The ability for fate to predict the future was explicitly allowed by the GODs within the Divine Champions Trial. This title does not supersede that GODs placed mandate and Fate within the divine champions’ trial will continue to have the same impact it always has.

Note 3. Known Heretic has influenced this title and been changed in turn. This title has contributed a small amount to upgrading Known Heretic to a new level. In the other direction these notes have been made available due to the boost.

Note 4. The core functionality of fate remains unaltered. The only component that has been restricted is nebulous intentions towards the future. Short term use within the four minute window remains unaltered. For full clarity investing future fate towards a perfect cast attempt with a sideways evolution is unfortunately impacted because the innovation into the weaves is done in the future. This method for all humans was already suffering a seventy percent reduction in efficiency versus having the fate act in real time. 

As for nebulous use of fate in the future, like what was previously done to shape trials this will be heavily nerfed. However, a more concrete application of intention will get better result. An image such as ‘make it so my party can beat the trial,’ might suffer a 99.9% penalty, while defining ‘the monster to have a speed less than rank four along with significant lightning vulnerability’ might drop the penalty to only 80%. If this image is refining further the penalty might reduce to less than 50%.

 

Underage

Title: Underage Skill Development (I) - Upgradable - Grants 1 free attribute point every eight levels.

·        Awarded for. Developing skills sufficient to be awarded four points from scratch.

o   Each uniquely created skill will award skill points equal to the tier level squared. This means the following.

§  A tier 1 skill contributes 1 point.

§  A tier 2 skill contributes 4 points.

§  A tier 3 skill contributes 9 points and so on.

o   No double counting of skill points may occur.

o   Eligible skills must be wholly created. If any part of the merged skill was acquired from a skill stone or trainer, then no skill points are awarded.   

·        Uncommon Title: Competition Rank: 2741, Experience: NA. Ranking Points – NA.

Title: Underage Spell Development (I) - Upgradable - Grants 1 free attribute point every eight levels.

·        Awarded for. Developing spells sufficient to be awarded eight points from raw mana manipulation into spell forms..

o   Each uniquely created skill will award spell points equal to the tier level squared. This means the following.

§  A tier 1 spell contributes 1 point.

§  A tier 2 spell contributes 4 points.

§  A tier 3 spell contributes 9 points and so on.

o   No double counting of spell points may occur.

o   Eligible skills must be wholly created. If any part of the merged spell was acquired from a spell stone or trainer, then no spell points are awarded.   

·        Uncommon Title: Competition Rank: 2741, Experience: NA. Ranking Points – NA.

Title: Underage Earned Ability Development (V1) - Upgradable - Grants 3 free attribute point at every class level.

·        Awarded for. Developing sufficient Earned Abilities to earn 16 points from scratch.

o   Each uniquely created [Redacted #1], Earned Skill, Earned Trait. [Redacted #4] will award points equal to the tier level squared. This means the following.

§  A tier 1 equivalent ability contributes 1 point.

§  A tier 2 equivalent ability contributes 4 points.

§  A tier 3 equivalent ability contributes 9 points and so on.

o   No double counting of skill points may occur.

o   Eligible abilities must be wholly created.   

Legendary Title: Competition Rank: 4, Experience: NA. Ranking Points – NA

Title: Mental Fortress: This title grants a trio of benefits. 1) Immunity to all verbally delivered mental attacks and attempts to influence. 2) Reflect all mind and soul attacks under tier 6 back against the caster with no drop of efficacy. 3) Resistance to all soul and mental manipulation improved by 300%.

·        Awarded for: Surviving the direct words of an angry GOD and the indirect anger and frustration of three others. 

·        Mythical Title. Title is hidden from all but your patron GODDESS so no ranking points or experience may be awarded until this status is revoked.

·       

Title: Discerning Vision: Acquire base ability to automatically pierce any illusions below tier 3 that you observe with your own eyes. Your ability to find and pierce illusions and notice deliberately obscured details above this level has been improved by 500%.

·        Awarded for: Observing a fundamental force through the eyes of a GODDESS. 

·        Legendary Title. Title is hidden from all but your patron GODDESS so no ranking points or experience may be awarded until this status is revoked.

Did you miss Extended Spear Skill Execution? It had to be acquired to get the Intangible Power Strike.

Nah. The pinnacle spell was tier 6... 4 different aspects to optimise on. Tom upgraded one has 3 to optimise. The spell he was given was tier 4 with only two to optimise on

The teleportation aide is shown as tier 5. I thought it was tier 5 when it was gifted to tom, so shouldn't it be tier 6 after being upgraded?
