Ok cool! Adventure time is weird lol that’s prob why it’s so good. Taking something as simple as the hero archetype and imbuing it with layers and layers of depth

E FILMS

Hmm you could say that, but also this video is really old now so I don’t necessarily know if I’d frame it that way. Finn is also aware of the “hero” role and emulates it, so it’s another meta layer

LocalScriptMan

So then, by this measure, does that make Finn the human a good synthesis of the archetypal stereotypes and the deep human pieces of character? Because he’s almost satirically/ironically a hero figure and at the same time when the show gets serious it challenges him as a person to grow

Oh yeah these days it’s on my Linktree, but here be a link https://discord.gg/nJhwgD5h

Love seeing you use the character sheet in this, as well as referencing the Enneagram. Side note: I’m trying to find the discord, but I haven’t seen anything. Am I just crazy, or does it actually exist?

Thanks for your response. Yeah, I get it. I had dopamine rush already cause my first video got like 8k and second 20k (and am talking Polish film essays YouTube numbers). But my videos are like well researched arguments that I wanna proof, so I just put pressure on myself to make it right and more views more pressure for me. I did work as PA also, and It's just not healthy. I don't know if you needed to hear all my shit, but it was just great to hear about your process. Keep it up, man!

I often lay awake at night wishing the E and C symbols had been swapped at birth so that we could have a perfect Dune logo

Welp I typically go crazy mode for about a couple weeks, neglect health, monk mode etc. and then I take a few days off. But I think two things have contributed to my actual work ethic. One was working in the film industry as a PA. Before, at my retail job, a 12 hour day was a nightmare. On set I quickly learned to think of that as short. They work brutal hours. I was conditioned rather quickly to stop trying to balance my life. The other thing is the fact that I’ve been successful on YouTube. A dopamine circuit has already been built, so I’m not just going forward into the void. I don’t know if that’s terribly helpful but it’s the truth.

Genuine question, how do you beat procrastination to produce quality content regularly. Asking for a friend of a friend, and definitely not for me and my small polish YouTube channel.

Hubert Haliżak

I looked into it anyway
