Not to be dramatic but this kind of care and integrity is sorely lacking in a lot of online spaces, so it's awesome to see. I love how you went about asking 1s questions to dig into the roots of the type. Hope you keep up the awesome work, I'll be looking forward to whatever is next!

I'm glad you touched on tritypes because I've found them to be much more useful in understanding people and characters, too many times I've struggled with trying to makes sense of characters' actions as they relate to their "main" type when they're dealing with a conflict outside of that center. Good stuff. Also glad you touched on the fact that most video essays don't really bring a new perspective to the table. Hadn't seen anyone else bring that up and it was driving me crazy.

I’m currently studying architecture but I recently decided to put my love of writing out there and your videos have been an inspiration to it. I’m discovering just how much I enjoy writing and how much my friends and family surprisingly enjoy reading it. Id usually hit a roadblock in characters, but the ennegrams gave me the perspective to overcome a lot of those obstacles, so I thank you for that. I appreciate all that you do!! Also my barcode is 5-8-2.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this series and the way you've described the potential narratives and emotional growth points you could have for any given character is such a breath of fresh air in the vast field of writing advice that ranges from useless vibes to hyper-specific dogma. This is actionable, precise, and well-thought out and even if I never succeed as a creative, I'm so proud to have been a member of this community and to now have a tool I can use to truly level up my writing process. Most of all, I wanted to say I appreciate this channel and you emphasizing how this is your own model of knowledge, your own system. And while I may disagree with some of your interpretations of the types, I appreciate how you respect your audience and expect us to think for ourselves. After all, that's what the best writers do. Great stuff. Working as a teacher, the thing you mention near the end of this video is still one of the things that terrifies me the most - realizing maybe some people aren't thinking in terms of incorporating and digesting knowledge, but rather consuming and regurgitating it. Very 7 coded and makes you think. Well this series has changed my life because I literally can't stop thinking in this way and I might never let this special interest go. Well enough of me rambling about how much I love this channel. Can't wait to see what you make next :)!
