Where I'm at, and Immediate Plans

Good news, mostly. I'm not taking Labor Day off. In fact, next week there will be an extra chapter on Saturday. Yes, a week from tomorrow, an extra chapter will be running. Because I do read what you guys post, and I incorporate that feedback into my writing. Also because I'm taking the week after next off for a vacation. So September 8-12, Sky Pride will not be updating. We return full of vim and vigor on the 15th.

It's a good point in the book for a break. You will see what I mean next Saturday. I will recharge and build up more of a stockpile of chapters. Yes, my "vacations" from posting are actually intense writing weeks. I try to schedule them at good break points in the books, so that when I take an actual 'Go Somewhere' vacation, the posting schedule is uninterrupted and the flow of the story is maintained.

Where does the recharging come in? Mostly by being off the internet. Amazing what a change that makes. Not being constantly stimulated gives room for new thoughts to grow.

Sky Pride has become an enormous success. It's made an incredible difference to my family, and it's a big source of optimism for us in an increasingly chaotic, scary world. Something I have thought about a lot, and am very grateful for. I will keep working hard to write the very best books I can for you.
