Cold Case DNA Extraction - Phase One Has Begun

For those who are not aware, EWU is working with law enforcement to pay for DNA testing on cold cases.

We are working on our first case now and have made a big step forward by having the evidence sent into the lab for DNA extraction. If the DNA extraction is successful, we will be funding the actual DNA test to find the perp!

Unfortunately we cannot share more information on the specific case or any details at all so as to not compromise the case, but we couldn't be doing this without your help!

We will share more specific details as we are allowed to, and of course we will make a video when all is said and done for everyone to see it all as it happened!

Your Patreon donations are going to be used to help fund these tests and solve cases, which means if you're a Patron, you are helping solve these cases!

This is amazing!! I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with.

Thanks for doing this. Really wish we could solve all crime. This is great start!

this is pretty awesome!!!!!

Unfortunately most departments lack the funding to pay for the DNA testing for old cold cases. They usually have to dedicate the funding to the latest cases, so the cold cases never get solved. Fortunately we have teamed up with a laboratory and will be working directly with them and law enforcement to get these DNA tests funded, and hopefully bring closure to the families and justice to the victims!

Also…when I’m watching true crime videos; I love the idea that we can help get justice for the victims. Individually it’s a small amount of money but collectively it’s not and there are many cases where simply having the money to do these tests could solve a case so let’s hope that we can one day soon(ish) (obviously it’s not a fast process that takes only days, as a whole that is) we can watch the first video where our contributions are the reason a victims family gets some closure and/or justice is served. Not only is EWU content already superior to any other of its type; but using the “entertainment” for want of a better word that is a true crime video to actually do something good rather than watching just for watching’s sake is excellent. I really hope this goes well and continues to grow.

There’s a huge amount of cases from years ago when new DNA and other forensic testing methods weren’t available. The fact that these are often cases where the murderer might be dead/not active etc…or sadly that there may not be close relatives of the victims alive means that newer cases where it’s more likely to find and stop these people from doing more harm takes precedence over the older cases. They are expensive tests and police departments simply aren’t allocated the funds they require to do them all. With every new case/test that must be dealt with, it prevents them from going back into the backlog. The ridiculous “defund the police” shit that people like AOC love so much isn’t helping either. This is the kind of thing that is defunded as well as having less of the heroes who risk their lives every day for the US public.

I don't really understand what you are testing for that the police haven't (as a layman with no technical knowledge). Is there a way you can explain with a hypothetical scenario what you fund? Is it people? Is it missed evidence? 30/40/50 year old cases? Tar x

Fantastic! EWU Crew, you are outstanding!!! 💕🙏⚘️🙋‍♀️

Woo Hoo !!!

Thanks for letting us know. One should think that this is a classic task for the government. I'm surprised they even take donations for that.

Hell yes

This is so fantastic of the team, but I am not surprised; EWU has been putting out the most thorough, in depth crime videos. I appreciate that you are now offering uncensored videos for us and that you are not only now just commenting on crime, but going out of the way to help bring cold crime. Criminals to justice. I would love to see a video of the team sometime, you guys do so much work, and it is not taken for granted. You guys are vreat

That’s excellent. I wish more wealthy people would regularly fund things like this. Would change a lot of lives.
