Patreon Exclusive Video: The Greyhound Bus Beheading

Comments

I will never forget when this happened, the fact he was released and given a new identity is disgusting.

Melanie Serroul

How can they release him like that. Clearly he's a damn threat to others. I have many friends with schizophrenic not any of them are violent. Regardless of he's crazy or not no one should be walking around like that.

Erin Barron

If only Canadians liked their guns as much as us Americans 😋I would have attempted to stop him in a heartbeat

Common Sense Connoisseur

I am blown away by this. This was some dark twisted shit lol. calmly stabbed a person to death and then beheaded them AND THEN ATE HIM. And this guy gets witness protection for mental health reasons? I'm a mental health advocate but, what's to say if he decides to stop taking his medication he won't do it again?

Nick Doonan

What? What does his race have anything to do with it

chris moen

Bro wtf if I'm on that bus I swear to god the second that he pulls over im running away from what's happening. And later seeing that he's showing his head and all that I would've just ran away

Bjarne De Moor

I'm sorry but that's just wrong.. if someone is "clinically insane" at any point, they need never to touch society freely 🤷

Sean Kelley

I feel like people could’ve done something idk there was multiple people that could’ve helped to stop the stabbing but risk getting stabbed themselves, so idk what I would’ve even done in this situation

Jasmine Cruz

Never said they should be held responsible that was the public perception, after the lawsuit I was saying. I’m not one of those people that think everybody should be screened before getting on transportation. I know it wasn’t their fault so you can just calm down dude. I was talking about the public perception…

I gotta say, second degree murder seems incredibly lenient to me?? If he genuinely had a psychotic break and he genuinely is repenting, I’m not so upset at him being allowed back into society. Reform can happen, although it is extremely rare. But the charge just seems way too light

Amanda Stewart

It would have been much worse meeting one who did not receive any treatment.

I think what should be done here, is made an argument for accountability vs. responsibility. I understand and agree with the argument that Li is not responsible, but I don't see this as not being accountable. What do I mean by this? He now understands what he did, and in that situation it would make sense after his release to treat it as a second degree manslaughter. I don't know Canadian law, but let's just for arguments sake say that he would get 25 years for that normally. After the 8 years he should serve an additional 17 years. Now the important thing here would be to have him serve those in the mental institution as a prison would more than likely cause a lot of problems for all involved and cost a lot of money. Then after those 25 years he can be eligible for parole. Not only will he serve a sentence that is a bit more in line with what he did under the circumstances, but one can also better evaluate whether or not his transformation is permanent. That's just my take on it.

Why exactly should Greyhound pay anything to the victims? They are in no way responsible. If anyone should pay anything, it's Vince Li. It is nice that they made sure that they had a place to stay etc. but what more do you want form them? They are in no way responsible for what Li did, and no place in the world is there a mental health check to get on a bus. Catching a bus anywhere in the world comes with some kind pf calculated risk. This can be from the bus crashing, to a flat tyre, to a man cutting your head off and eating you. Luckily those chances are slim to none. What was Greyhound supposed to do here? Are they responsible because the driver did not sacrifice himself? I'm not a bus driver, but I doubt that's in the job description. while Li is now out, it should be argued that he was to pay damages. But Greyhound? They did not know Li, nor did the driver. They are in no way responsible.

Peter Johansen

They also probably saw a decline in people using greyhound due to them getting out of paying any compensation to the passengers on the bus. If I remember right didn’t they refuse to pay anything except to replace their clothes for that night and a place to stay? I could be remembering wrong tho…

😳😳😳Wow unbelievable insane. 😔😔😔

Analyn Camacho

Goodness.. mentally ill or not, he still did it! What a horrible horrible man

Roan Welsh

So all he has to do is say he is sorry and that he like taking his medication just so he can probably do it again smh whoever took control of this case is a dam moron smh they ought to be ashamed of themselves

A crime as heinous and sadistic as eating body parts, should never be rewarded with freedom. That's a different kind of murderer. We will be seeing his face again

Sam

Diversity amirite?

john harvey

Dang, i forgot about this! This has to be one of the worse ways to die… sleeping, minding ur own business only to wake up to stabs from a stranger. The confusion, sadness, panic that one would be feeling is terrifying

SLAYBYJAY

Absolutely horrifying

Conman

I used to take the Greyhound home to my parents every holiday from University. This happened on the same run I could’ve been on. My dad bought me a car
