Chapter 14: Stormterror & the Boy

As we were walking I talked with Lumine about her travels. She started traveling a few months prior which I'm guessing is the time she gained consciousness. I asked what her goal was and it was what I expected it was to find her brother. She thinks asking the archons in all the seven regions will lead her to him.

"So Jun, why did you become an adventurer?"

"I did it to earn money, but I also wanted to travel the world while helping people along the way." Ever since becoming a Kamen Rider, I felt it was my duty to live up to the name

"That's admirable, have you already traveled to the other regions?"

"Uh… no I just started two weeks ago so I'm still relatively new. I'm still trying to learn and to grow stronger"

"That's unexpected. I thought you would be a veteran."

"Haha but don't worry I'm fairly strong. I defeated an Anemo Hypostasis the day I registered in the adventurers' guild."

"What! You defeated an Anemo Hypostasis?" Paimon interjected leaving her and Lumine shocked

"Paimon has heard of those before, they are super strong and create winds that will knock you off your feet and create gigantic tornadoes, and you defeated one of them?"

"Yup, but I did not defeat it by myself and I used a special armor that boosted my strength."

"A special armor?" Lumine said tilting her head

"Yeah, it gives me great power."

"That armor must be something if it can make you defeat and Anemo Hypostasis."

"Um, but I don't have any combat skills. I have been training my body and honing my sword but I am still a beginner and I want to find someone to teach me."

"How about I teach you?" Lumine offered to teach me swordsmanship

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure, consider it as thanks for showing us the way to Mondstadt."

"Thank you, Lumine."

We all continued to talk leisurely while we were walking. As we continued a sudden gust of wind hit us."

"What was that!" Paimon shouted alarmed

We saw a huge silhouette above and saw a huge dragon flying towards the forest. 

"Wow! What is that!? It's huuuge. It's heading towards the forest." Paimon said

"I think that was Stormterror. He has been seen attacking around Mondstadt lately."

"Stormterror? I see, let's proceed with caution." Lumine said

We all went inside the forest carefully looking out where Stormterror was. As we kept venturing we heard a roar and we believed it to be Stormterror. We all hid behind a tree and peeked to see what would happen. We saw a boy in green talking to the dragon

"Don't be afraid… It's alright now I'm back."

"Is he talking… to the dragon?" asked Paimon

'Seeing this scene is the same as in-game and right about now the traveler should…' The traveler suddenly started glowing alerting the dragon

"Who's there" said the boy in green

Stormterror unfurls his wings and begins to fly away and the boy begins to disappear

Seeing Stromterror fly away made us all relax

"That was close… Paimon almost got blown away. It's a good thing Paimon got a hold of your hair"

"You almost ripped my hair off," said Lumine irritated

"Hehe… sorry."

"Now now you two at least we did not get eaten by that dragon."

"Yeah, what was that, Paimon thought we were done for. Whatever just happened has something to do with that boy talking to the dragon."

"Do you know him, Jun?" asked Lumine

"No, I don't know him." I lied, he was Venti the God of Anemo, Barbatos. I don't want to tell her because it would be weird if I somehow knew him when nobody in Mondstadt knew him either. Lumine looked at me as if she knew I was lying

'Have I been caught?" I thought while sweating Lumine was way older than she looked and I'm sure she could easily tell I was lying and I'm also not good with either. Before she could call me out Paimon saw something in the place Stormterror left

"Hey, what's that, it's some shiny red thing on the rock over there."

"Let's go check it out," I said trying to ignore Lumine staring at me

We walked up to it and saw the stone. It was floating, red, and shaped like a tear

"I have a bad feeling about this. Paimon has not seen this stone before, so Paimon can't tell what it is. All Paimon knows is it is dangerous so it's best to put it away for now."

Lumine kept it in her mysterious storage space where time inside it stopped leaving anything inside it the same it was when entered. I'm guessing this is the inventory system in real life. We all continued our way to Mondstadt, we exited the forest and saw Mondstadt's wall in the distance

"That is Mondstadt over there."

"Wow it's amazing, Paimon can't wait to arrive."

"Wait, stop right there!"

We heard somebody running and as we looked in that direction Amber jumped and landed right in front of us

"Greetings travelers I am... Jun? What are you doing here?"

"You know her?" Lumine asked

"Hello, Amber, let me introduce you. Amber, this is Lumine, a traveler I met while I was exploring. Lumine this is Amber the Outrider of the Knights of Favonius and my friend."

"Hello, I'm Amber. It's nice to meet you."

"Me as well."

Both greeted each other well

"This is Paimon, she is Lumine's emergency food."

Paimon heard this and she got mad stomping her foot on the air

"Hey! We have been through this Paimon is not emergency food!"

"Jun, why are you with these travelers?" Amber asked

"I saw them in the plains and thought they were lost so I showed them the way to Mondstadt."

"Well if you two know Jun then you're not anybody suspicious, I'll trust you two." Amber seems to trust my decision to bring two unknown travelers to Mondstadt

"Want to join us going back to Mondstadt Amber?"

"Sure, I would love to finish my duties just now."

Amber joined us, and we all headed back to Mondstadt
