Wizard x MHA Chapter 12

A few weeks passed since Izuku got the Mage's Belt. Yuto and Izuku are sparring with each other daily, and each time they are spared, Yuto kicks Izuku's ass. His body is always sore by the end of their sparring.

Izuku sat at his desk, his Mage Analysis No.1 notebook open in front of him. He carefully documented the various magic rings Yuto had provided him, their names and functions neatly listed.

The Driver On Ring activated the Mage's Belt, allowing Izuku to transform. The Kick Strike Ring and Slash Strike Ring empowered his finishing attacks, while the Connect Ring opened magical portals. The Chain Ring summoned restraining bindings, and the Copy Ring could create duplicates. The Barrier Ring projected protective shields.

Izuku paused as he reached the Engage Ring. Yuto had explained that this ring could only be used on "Gates," but he had not elaborated further on what that meant. Izuku stared at the entry, his brow furrowed in thought.

Just then, the bell rang, signaling the start of class. Izuku quickly closed his notebook and turned his attention to the front of the room, his mind still buzzing with questions about the enigmatic Engage Ring.

Throughout the lesson, Izuku found it difficult to focus. His thoughts kept drifting back to the mysteries surrounding the magic rings and his role as a mage. What exactly were Gates, and why was the Engage Ring specifically for them?

When the class finally ended, Izuku hurried to gather his belongings, eager to find Yuto and ask him more about the Engage Ring. As he made his way through the bustling hallway, he spotted Katsuki Bakugo up ahead, surrounded by his usual group of followers.

Izuku considered approaching Bakugo, but ultimately decided against it. He needed to remain focused on his training, determined to one day face his rival.

Izuku hurried down the school hallway, eager to get to Dagoba Beach and continue his training with Yuto. As he reached the exit, he pulled out his phone and began scrolling through the latest news. Suddenly, a headline caught his eye, and Izuku's eyes widened in surprise.

"Vigilante 'Wizard' Stops Robbery, Police Searching for Mysterious Vigilante"

Izuku couldn't help but smile awkwardly as he read the article. While he was proud to know that his mentor, Yuto, was out there saving people as Kamen Rider Wizard, the fact that he was being labeled a vigilante troubled him.

Izuku knew heroes had to work within the law, with licenses and oversight. Though Yuto's actions were heroic, they put him at odds with authorities. The police and pros would be hunting him.

Izuku reached the beach and found Yuto waiting for him. Taking a deep breath, he approached his mentor, knowing he had to address the situation.

"Sensei, I saw the news about you stopping that robbery," Izuku said, his voice tinged with concern. "People are calling you a vigilante, and the police are searching for you."

Yuto smiles reassuringly at his young student. "Oh, that. Don't worry about it, Izuku. I don't mind being called a vigilante."

Izuku's brow furrows with concern. "Are you really fine, sensei? Why don't you want to be a Pro Hero? You could be popular, and you wouldn't have to hide."

Yuto's expression remains calm and composed. "I am not using my magic to gain fame. It is to fight Phantoms and save people. Whether I have a license or not does not change that."

Yuto continues, "Besides, if I became a pro hero and became popular, it would be difficult to find Phantoms because they could easily find me."

Izuku says, "I guess that makes sense..." He pauses, considering Yuto's words.

Izuku remembered the first time Wizard made headlines. It was a few months ago when Wizard saved civilians from a burning building.

(Flashback)

Yuto was walking down the street eating a Chocolate glazed doughnut. "Yum," he said, savoring the sweet treat.

Yuto heard a commotion. He followed the noise and saw many people gathering to watch a tall building on fire. Yuto heard from the crowd's murmurs that there were still people trapped inside, and the Pro Heroes in the scene could not get to them.

Yuto could see Backdraft and Kamui Woods on the scene, but they could not get in due to the intensity of the flames.

Yuto could hear Kamui Woods say, "We need to wait for a Pro Hero with the right quirk."

Yuto frowned, watching the flames lick at the building's structure. He couldn't stand by and do nothing. Glancing around to ensure no one was watching, Yuto slipped away from the crowd and ducked into an alley.

Yuto scans the Driver On Ring over the Wizardriver.

[Driver On, Please!]

[Shabadoobi, Touch Henshin!]

Yuto scans the flame ring. "Henshin."

[Flame, Please! Hii, Hii, Hii-Hii-Hii!]

Yuto transforms into Wizard Flame Style. The armor materializes around him, the ruby-red visor gleaming as he strides forward. Without hesitation, Wizard rushes towards the burning building, his cape billowing behind him.

Wizard leaped onto the roof and rushed toward the burning building. The flames didn't faze him thanks to his Flame Ring. He heard coughing and saw people on the ground choking on the thick smoke.

Wizard dashed through the fiery entrance. The intense heat didn't slow him as he scanned for trapped civilians. His enhanced vision quickly spotted a group struggling to breathe at the back of the building.

Wizard quickly approached the trapped civilians, kneeling down beside a young woman who was coughing violently.

"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice calm and reassuring.

The woman looked up at him, her eyes filled with fear. "Villain..." she managed to choke out.

Wizard's mind raced as he realized there was likely a villain responsible for the fire. He couldn't leave these people in danger, but he needed to ensure their safety first.

"Don't worry, I'll get you all out of here," Wizard said, gently helping the woman to her feet. He guided the group towards the exit, shielding them from the flames with his Flame magic.

Carefully, Wizard led the civilians out of the burning building, ushering them to safety. Once they were clear, he turned his attention back to the structure, his fists clenched with determination.

Wizard jumped back into the building and could hear the sounds of cackling laughter. He sees the villain - a thin-looking man who did not like that Wizard had let the people out. His Quirk was the ability to breathe fire.

"So, you're the one who's been interfering with my fun," the villain sneered, his eyes gleaming with malice. "I was hoping to watch those pathetic civilians burn, but you had to ruin it."

Wizard stood his ground, his posture calm and unwavering. "Surrender now, and no one else has to get hurt."

The villain let out a harsh laugh. "You really think I'm going to listen to you, hero?" He drew in a deep breath, his chest expanding.

Wizard braced himself as the villain unleashed a torrent of flames, the fiery blast hurtling towards him. But the flames did not affect Wizard, his Flame Style armor protecting him from the intense heat.

"What?" the villain exclaimed, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Impossible!"

Wizard took a step forward, his voice firm. "I won't let you harm anyone else. It's over."

Wizard quickly punches the villain, the force of the blow knocking him out cold. Without hesitation, Wizard turns his attention to the raging flames around him. He raises his hand, the Flame Ring on his finger glowing brightly, and begins to draw the fire towards him. The flames are pulled into the ring, diminishing the blaze that had engulfed the building.

With the villain secured, Wizard steps outside, the unconscious form of the arsonist slung over his shoulder. He sets the villain down in front of the Pro Heroes, their eyes widening in surprise at the sight of the mysterious Kamen Rider.

"This one's all yours," Wizard says, his voice distorted by the helmet.

The crowd cheers for the unknown hero as Kamen Rider Wizard strides away from the scene. Murmurs of awe and curiosity ripple through the onlookers, who wonder about the identity of this mysterious figure.

Kamui Woods and Backdraft, the Pro Heroes who had been struggling to comprehend what just happened, turn their attention to the retreating Wizard. Kamui Woods calls out, "Hold it right there! Who are you?"

Wizard pauses and faces the heroes. "Just a concerned citizen," he replies, his voice distorted by the helmet. "I'll leave the rest to you, heroes."

Kamui Woods steps forward, his brow furrowed in concern. "A concerned citizen? Do you have a hero license? You can't just interfere in hero operations without proper authorization."

Wizard regards the Pro Heroes calmly. "No, I don't have a license," he admits. "But I couldn't stand by and watch while people were in danger. I had to act."

Kamui Woods narrowed his eyes. "Then I'm afraid I'll have to apprehend you," he said, his wood-like quirk activating as he prepared to restrain the vigilante.

Backdraft moved to assist Kamui Woods, his expression stern. "We can't allow unlicensed individuals to interfere with hero work. It's too dangerous."

Wizard tensed, knowing he couldn't comply with their demands. "Sorry, but I can't do that," he said, his voice firm.

Wizard scans the Bind ring over the Wizardriver.

[Bind, Please!]

Magical chains erupt from the ground, wrapping around Kamui Woods and Backdraft, restraining them in place. The two Pro Heroes struggle against the unyielding bindings, their expressions a mix of shock and outrage.

"What?!" Kamui Woods exclaims, his wood-like quirk unable to break free from the enchanted chains.

Wizard stands calmly, his distorted voice echoing through the scene. "Well then, gentlemen. I must take my leave."

With a flick of his wrist, Wizard scans the Connect ring over the Wizardriver.

[Connect, Please!]

A magical portal opens, and the Machinewinger, Wizard's high-tech motorcycle, emerges. Wizard swiftly mounts the vehicle and revs the engine.

"Wait!" Kamui Woods shouts, still bound by the chains. "You're under arrest for vigilantism and illegal use of quirks!"

But Wizard has already turned the Machinewinger and ridden off through the portal, leaving the two Pro Heroes helplessly restrained.

(End of Flashback)

Yuto, in his Kamen Rider Wizard form, continues to operate as a vigilante, intervening in crimes and emergencies whenever he comes across them. However, his actions have not gone unnoticed by the authorities. The Pro Heroes and the police are actively searching for Wizard, determined to apprehend the mysterious figure who has been disrupting their operations.

The media has been relentless in their coverage of Wizard, painting him in a negative light. Many news articles condemn his vigilantism, accusing him of obstructing the work of licensed Pro Heroes. The public discourse surrounding Wizard is divided, with some supporting his actions and others firmly believing he should be arrested.

In a series of interviews, several Pro Heroes have voiced their concerns about Wizard's interference. Kamui Woods, still haunted by his previous encounter with the Kamen Rider, expresses his belief that Wizard must be stopped. "He's a danger to the public and to the heroes who are trying to maintain order," Kamui Woods declares. "We can't have unlicensed individuals running around, using their quirks recklessly. It's a recipe for disaster."

Backdraft, who was also present during the incident with Wizard, echoes Kamui Woods' sentiments. "Wizard may have saved lives that day, but he's not above the law. He needs to be held accountable for his actions. We can't have vigilantes undermining the hero system."

Despite the negative publicity and the Pro Heroes' calls for Wizard's arrest, there are still those who support the mysterious Kamen Rider. Civilians who have been rescued by Wizard speak out, praising his bravery and selflessness. "He was there when the heroes couldn't be," one witness recounts. "If it wasn't for Wizard, I don't know what would have happened to us."

As the search for Wizard continues, the tension between the vigilante and the authorities only seems to be escalating. The question remains: will Wizard be able to continue his crusade, or will he ultimately be forced to confront the consequences of his actions?
