Wizard x MHA Chapter 15

Yuto hopes only he, Izuku and Narumi can chat. Takumi becomes grumpy being left out. Narumi kindly asks Takumi to leave.

Yuto clears his throat, his gaze fixed on Narumi. "Narumi-san, I was hoping we could discuss the details of the incident from the other night, if that's alright. I'd prefer to keep this conversation between the three of us, if possible."

Takumi's brow furrows, and his smile falters slightly. "Oh? Is there something you gentlemen need to discuss privately?"

Narumi glances at Takumi, her expression apologetic. "Takumi-kun, I'm afraid this is a bit of a sensitive matter. Yuto-san and Izuku-kun would like to go over the details, and I think it would be best if we had this discussion just the three of us."

Takumi's grip on Narumi's shoulder tightens ever so slightly. "I see. And why exactly do you need to keep me out of this?"

Izuku shifts uncomfortably in his seat, feeling the tension in the air. "W-Well, you see, Saito-san, it's just that this is a very specific issue that we've been dealing with, and we don't want to burden you with the details."

Takumi's gaze narrows, his lips thinning into a displeased line. "Burden me? I'm Narumi's boyfriend. I think I have a right to know what's going on, don't you?"

Narumi places a calming hand on Takumi's arm. "Takumi-kun, please. I'm sure Yuto-san and Izuku-kun don't mean any offense. This is just something they need to discuss with me privately."

Takumi's jaw clenches, and for a moment, it seems like he's about to argue further. But then, his expression softens, and he sighs heavily.

"Alright, fine. I suppose I can give you a few minutes." He turns to Narumi, his tone softening. "But don't take too long, my dear. I'd hate to be left out of the conversation for too long."

Narumi nods, offering Takumi a grateful smile. "Of course, Takumi-kun. I won't be long, I promise."

Takumi reluctantly slides out of the booth, his gaze sweeping over Yuto and Izuku with a hint of suspicion before he turns and walks away, leaving the trio alone.

Yuto said, "Narumi-san, Takumi-san seems quite close with you. I noticed he was a bit...protective, just now."

Narumi nodded, a faint smile on her lips. "Yes, that's just how Takumi is. He can be a bit relentless at times, but he means well." Her gaze softened as she spoke of her boyfriend. "He pursued me for a long time before I finally agreed to give him a chance. I'm glad I did, even if he can be a little overbearing sometimes."

Izuku listened intently, sensing there was more to the story. "So, you two have been dating for a while then?"

"A couple of years, actually," Narumi replied. "Takumi was quite persistent. I resisted at first, but he eventually wore me down with his sincerity and charm." She let out a small, almost wistful chuckle. "I'm glad I gave him that chance in the end."

Yuto nodded thoughtfully. "It's good to hear you two have such a strong bond. Relationships can be complicated, but it's clear Takumi cares deeply for you."

Narumi's expression softened further, and she glanced in the direction Takumi had gone. "Yes, he does. And I care for him as well. He may be a bit overprotective, but I know it comes from a place of love."

The trio fell silent for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts about the complexities of relationships and the delicate balance between care and control.

Narumi's eyes brightened as she spoke about her upcoming wedding plans. "Takumi and I are so excited to tie the knot soon. At my age, it's not always easy to find love, but I'm grateful to have him in my life."

Izuku's gaze lingered on Narumi, taking in her warm smile. "You look really happy, Narumi-san," he said sincerely.

Narumi's expression turned playful as she leaned in slightly. "Oh, Izuku-kun, are you trying to flatter me?" she teased.

Izuku's cheeks flushed as he waved his hands in front of him. "N-No, not at all! I was just... I mean, you do look very nice, but I wasn't-"

Narumi chuckled, waving a hand dismissively. "I was only teasing, Izuku-kun. No need to get so flustered."

Yuto cleared his throat, steering the conversation in a new direction. "Speaking of which, the matter we wanted to discuss with you is still quite pressing. The Phantom that attacked you the other night is still out there, and it seems to be targeting you specifically."

Narumi's expression sobered as she nodded. "I see. So, you believe I'm still in danger?"

"I'm afraid so," Yuto replied. "Izuku and I would like to stay close and keep an eye on you, if you don't mind. We want to make sure you're safe."

Narumi considered Yuto's request, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I don't mind you both keeping an eye on me, but I do have a date with Takumi tomorrow. I'm afraid he wouldn't be too keen on having others tag along."

Yuto nodded in understanding. "I see. Well, we wouldn't want to intrude on your personal time with him. Perhaps we could observe from a distance, just to ensure your safety."

Izuku shifted in his seat, feeling slightly uncomfortable with the idea of spying on Narumi and Takumi's date. "Are you sure that's a good idea, Yuto-sensei? I mean, won't that be kind of... invasive?"

Yuto considered Izuku's concern. "You raise a fair point, Izuku. We don't want to overstep any boundaries. However, the Phantom is still a threat, and I'd feel better knowing you're both safe."

Narumi reached across the table and placed a reassuring hand on Yuto's arm. "I appreciate your concern, truly. But I'm sure Takumi and I will be fine. We'll be vigilant, and if anything seems amiss, I'll be sure to contact you both right away."

Izuku felt a little more at ease, seeing the trust and understanding between Narumi and his mentor. "Okay, Narumi-san. We'll respect your privacy, but please don't hesitate to reach out if you need us."

Narumi smiled warmly. "I won't, Izuku-kun. Thank you both for looking out for me." She glanced in the direction Takumi had gone, her expression softening. "I should probably get back to him before he starts to wonder what's taking so long."

Yuto nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Of course. Enjoy your date, Narumi-san. We'll be nearby, just in case."

As Narumi rejoined Takumi, Yuto and Izuku watched from a discreet distance, their eyes scanning the café for any signs of the Phantom's presence. They knew they couldn't interfere with Narumi's personal time, but they were determined to keep a watchful eye, ready to spring into action if the need arose.

The following day, Narumi and Takumi set out on their much-anticipated date. Yuto and Izuku, keeping true to their word, observed the couple from a discreet distance, their eyes vigilantly scanning the surroundings for any signs of the Phantom threat.

It was a bright, sunny weekend, and Izuku was grateful to have the opportunity to accompany Yuto on this surveillance mission. As they trailed behind Narumi and Takumi, Izuku couldn't help but feel a twinge of unease. He knew their presence, even if concealed, could be an invasion of the couple's privacy.

Yuto, sensing Izuku's hesitation, placed a reassuring hand on his student's shoulder. "I understand your concern, Izuku," he said in a low voice. "But the safety of Narumi-san and Takumi-san must take precedence. We'll maintain our distance and only intervene if absolutely necessary."

Izuku nodded, his resolve strengthening. He trusted Yuto's judgment, and he knew that their vigilance could be the difference between Narumi's safety and peril. With renewed determination, he kept pace with his mentor, their eyes constantly scanning the bustling streets for any sign of the Phantom.

As Narumi and Takumi strolled hand-in-hand through the park, Yuto and Izuku observed from a nearby bench, their posture relaxed yet their senses heightened. The couple seemed to be enjoying each other's company, and Izuku couldn't help but feel a pang of envy at their carefree happiness.

Narumi and Takumi were enjoying their date in the park. They strolled hand-in-hand, Narumi's laughter ringing out as Takumi whispered something in her ear. The warm sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a gentle glow on the couple. Narumi's eyes sparkled with happiness, her free hand resting affectionately on Takumi's arm. Takumi, in turn, gazed at her adoringly, his grip on her hand tightening ever so slightly, as if afraid she might slip away.

Narumi and Takumi stood near the serene lake, the gentle lapping of the water providing a soothing backdrop to their conversation. Narumi's eyes held a wistful expression as she reminisced about their time together.

"Takumi-kun, do you remember when we first started dating?" she asked, her voice soft and tinged with nostalgia. "I was so hesitant, but you were so persistent. I'm glad I gave you a chance."

Narumi turned to face her boyfriend, a hopeful smile playing on her lips. "I've been thinking, Takumi-kun... Maybe it's time we take the next step. I know we've talked about getting married, and I was wondering if you..."

Takumi's expression shifted, the warmth in his eyes hardening into something cold and calculating. He gently pulled his hand away from Narumi's, and her smile faded as she sensed the sudden change in his demeanor.

"Takumi-kun?" Narumi asked, her brow furrowing in concern. "What's wrong?"

Takumi took a deep breath, his gaze averted from Narumi's. "Narumi, I... I don't think we should get married."

Narumi's heart skipped a beat, and she felt as if the ground had been pulled from under her. "W-What?" she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. "But, Takumi-kun, we've talked about this. I thought you were ready..."

Takumi shook his head, his expression hardening. "I'm sorry, Narumi, but I've met someone else. Someone younger and more beautiful. I can't... I can't marry you."

Narumi stared at him, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief. "Takumi-kun, what are you saying? How could you do this to me?" Tears began to well in her eyes, threatening to spill down her cheeks.

Takumi's lips curled into a sneer, his true nature as begin to surface. "You're just an old woman, Narumi. I can't be tied down to someone like you. I need someone who can keep up with me, someone who can make me look good."

Narumi felt her heart shatter, the pain of his words cutting her deeply. "But... I thought you loved me," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Takumi let out a cold, mirthless laugh. "Love? Don't be so naive, Narumi. This was never about love. It was about what I could get from you. And now, I've found someone better."

Narumi's legs felt weak, and she sank to the ground, her tears flowing freely.

Narumi felt despair wash over her as Takumi's cruel words sank in. She stared at him, her eyes brimming with tears, struggling to comprehend how the man she had loved could betray her so heartlessly.

"Takumi-kun, why?" she whispered, her voice trembling. "I thought you cared for me. I thought we were going to get married."

Takumi's lips curled into a sinister grin, and in that moment, Narumi saw the true darkness that lurked beneath his charming facade. His body began to morph and shift, the transformation taking hold as he revealed his true identity.

"Why?" Takumi, now in the form of the Unicorn Phantom, echoed with a chilling laugh. "Because there is no greater way to bring a woman into despair than by breaking her heart."

Narumi's eyes widened in horror as she witnessed the monstrous creature that had been her beloved. The Unicorn Phantom towered over her, its sharp horn gleaming menacingly.

"Takumi..." Narumi breathed, her voice barely audible as she struggled to come to terms with this devastating revelation.
