yeah, ironically there is not cutaway to the theater here, because in this moment they are both being genuine. Or at least, as much as they can.

Did you know that kanji for "Abyss" in Oberon's "Wyrm of the Abyss" title can also be used to refer to the trapdoor leading under the theater stage? I feel like it's very fitting here. Finally in the abyss, finally below the theater, away from the audience, we can have this heart to heart, liar to liar.

ah, I remember that one. That site with all the fan dark souls comics was a masterpiece

God damn... that last line is so cold, but so true. Side note, this whole conversation reminds me of a fan comic of Dark Souls 3, where Patches, after regaining his memories in the Ring City DLC, asked the Ashen One one simple question: "Why?" There have been many a time where the question has been asked, and many don't have the answer at the end of everything in Dark Souls. Or perhaps they did, but lost their way. None of which made it to the end intact, sane, or otherwise still willing take another step further. Yet... there is an answer, one made of conviction and entirely of their own will, not the will of others, destiny, or even chance. Something like, I think, Ritsuka found out the hard way. And his answer here in this comic allowed him to do what the Ashen One did where everyone else would have faltered or abandoned their purpose in a heartbeat: taking another step forward. Sorry for rambling there. Just got caught up in the moment. Either way, great comic! PS: There is a fandub of that comic I mentioned. Highly recommend if you want a good story about Dark Souls as a whole.

Idk if you consider this a spin off or not but I can tell you to me it's a full companion piece to fgo proper to me Also I feel like lb6 weirdly was a really healthy experience for your Ritsuka something that would genuinely help them cope and come to terms with how they feel

"Spinoffs mean shit without a main story" goes way harder than I was expecting it to.
