Dean Martin did have a nose job, mostly to fix the bump in it he got from having it broken during his amateur boxing career. And he borrowed money from Lou Costello to get it, and never paid him back. If you watch some of Martin and Lewis's colgate comedy hour episodes (which are on youtube), Jerry Lewis would often make jokes referencing his nose job. Another very interesting thing on youtube is an actual live taping of their "real" stage show at the Copacabana uncensored. 2025-04-23 23:07:27 +0000 UTCThanks for posting this -- a sequel that perhaps surpasses part 1 ! Joe - I think that "The Errand Boy" and "The Bell Boy" are included on the DVD set you mentioned. Both are definitely worth watching to see what Jerry did just after the split with Dean. Don't get me wrong, though -- I love late career Jerry, too. Did you know he appeared on an episode of Law & Order: SVU ( S8/ep 23 ), playing the uncle of Detective Munch ( Richard Belzer ) ? It's late stage Fat Jerry -- also worth seeing, if just as a curiosity !
