Melee.Set#1 and Hindsight.V2

Edit(12/07/22)Supported filesets should be up now For the Melee Pack and HindsightV.2 filesets.
If they're not showing in your downloads folder give it a bit of time, as there's a lot of stuff that was just uploaded~ Usually hitting the "Check for new Downloads" button pulls things in, but if not just give it a bit of time before checking again~

Edit(12/04/22): The Raw filesets should now be up on CG&T~ As always if you don't see them in your downloads tab hit the "Check for new downloads" button, but I waited a bit before making an announcement so I'm hoping that mitigates some of that.
Once I get the supported filesets back from Atlas I'll be testing and adding those to the sets.

This is a bit of a hard pack to go through xD originally after the Orca I wanted to do this set as a means to kinda unwind from another large scale kit, but that didn't work quite as intended so I worked through the Odonata, and left the next month open for this~
Which was just me making a whole bunch of melee weapons for a few of my existing mechs~ This is easily one of the most...self indulgent sets that I've done with some pretty large biases towards the more absurd. That said while a lot of the pack falls in line with that theme of things, there's a lot of utility in some off the updated/added bits. For instance, I've finally added some generic auxiliary arms for holding weapons/sheaths/etc. There's also a ball jointed version of each style of arm for the Koi/Mako/Commander, because at the end of the day, it's just more poseable then a single jointed elbow. This includes undermounts, and a shield post lower arm as well, (you can see all of these bits in the main bits spread image.) All the generic undermount weapons now have a version that allows for the attachment of a shield if you're so inclined, and I've added a handful of previous and tweaked shields.

This month will be split into two kits, A full HindsightV2 and the melee pack.
HindisightV2 will basically be the same as the welvcome pack but with a few of the Katana themed weapons, and all of the additional pieces I made for him in the melee kit, and then the Melee kit itself which will be all of the pieces shown except for hindsights files. It can be thought of as a big upgrade pack more or less to bolster the existing kits.

I tried to include a render of most of the main weapons assembled and posed, but there's really just, a lot and the render count is already getting pretty high xD just like the parts count which is around 200 this time x'D
As is usually the case, the raw .obj files for this will be up on the 4th, with the supported files following as a I get them back and tested from Atlas. It's a large pack though so I expect it to take a bit before I get it back from them~
The other big thing with regards to this is the scaling of the kit.  Everything is scaled to Hindsight (Commander/Marlin/Arowana) which I consider to be a scaling of 1, with koi scaling being .79. There should be two versions of the supported filesets, one at 1, and another at .79 to cover the two main scales.

There's a lot of utility here, and I'm excited to see what people do with this. I don't think this will be the last time I do something like this as it seems that it's been received pretty well, which makes me incredibly happy to say the least~
I might actually paint a mini or two from this one xD

Comments

Pre plates are usually set up to build the base march without the optional pieces. (Usually things like hands/heads/weapons/etc and then the raw files are the pieces unsupported for kitbashing, and then the individual supported files are for if you want to put together your own plates~

Poyper

quick question on builds, whats the difference between the preplate obj files and the broken down zips of all of the body parts?

Shawn Gierahn

I'm pretty glad I haven't gotten around to putting together a gamma wolves team with your stuff yet, because it'll be sooooo much better with these options.
