A Lady’s Guide to Survival: 1

(Okay so this is roughly the beginning. Allow me to explain some quick things with this. I didn’t start the exerpts puurposefully. It just kinda happened halfway through me writing captions. So a lot of times my captions start with my own voice and then it ends up sounding like a piece of writing. Anyway, that’s just a gentle heads up. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do tho.)

I ended up naming her Celestria cos that’s a mad pretty name. Anyway, Celestria. Let’s have a conversation about her.

Ok so right off the bat, we all know Celestria is special. DUH. She’s reincarnated and everything so like, obv she is. However, she had more special qualities about her. Some that would have gone completely unnoticed had Lord not appeared before her.

On the day of the Fall Harvest banquet, when Lord came down from the sky upon their feast, everyone was frozen with fear. The primordial terror that seized everyone in the ballroom was like being tightly bound from head to toe. Like being trapped in a cocoon of fright. Before anyone could do anything, Lord seized the throat of the King that sat upon his golden throne, and with a quick motion, their kingdom was robbed of its monarch.

Everyone knew what these demons did to kingdoms that they set foot in. Everyone knew that they were going to die. Even Celestria. Besides her, also frozen in terror, was her family. Her mother, father and brother. Oh, her brother. He was only six. He was only a child. When she stared at his face, wide-eyed with dismay beyond his understanding, Celeste knew that there was only one thing that she would do. That she COULD do.

Very suddenly, amongst the crowd of nobles that stood motionless with trepidation, she gave a graceful bow to the demon that had descended from the heavens, and held her hands out like as if she were giving glory. “This loyal subject humbly beseeches you. Spare us, and show us mercy.” This was the first time that Lord had ever heard a human speak to him. It was shocking, and for an old being such as he, there were very few things that could shock him truly. For a few seconds, he remained motionless, but eventually he gave a languid smile. “Loyal subject? To whom? Did I not just kill your king?” The human before him did not move. “As is with the law of Nature, you have seized the throne for yourself through power alone.” Where was the human going with this? “You have overthrown the King, so now the throne is yours. I beseech you, show mercy to your subjects, oh compassionate King.”
