On the topic of hair: idk if this is how a lot of people feel, but for me, doing hair can be a super special thing. When I was young, my mum would do my hair. Ofc as I got older and wanted braids I would go to get it done at a salon, but for the time in which my mum would do my hair, it was just very comfortable. Unfortunately I am tender-headed so I HATED doing my hair (part of the reason i got locs in lol) but I’d rather my mum deal w my hair than anyone else who i don’t know/trust.
So that’s why when I draw characters and one is doing the other’s hair, it is a very very soft, very very intimate moment. Doing hair to me is another very deep level of connection cos I don’t trust just anyone w my hair. So if I let you do my hair I am either very desperate Or i have a lot of trust in you.
I copy pasted all this from twitter but also in light of my hair thoughts, I think I’ll probably develop this sketch a little more.... maybe a pretty painting? Or maybe just develop the soft concept a lil more. Idk, but I wanna do something with An doing Zhongli’s hair.
