Aoi—just like any normal human—has fears. But unlike many humans, it’s the very real fear of someone discovering her identity. Discovering who plays Aoi. First off, anyone who’d seek her actual identity out is… questionable. Second, what if they use her identity to blackmail her? What if they do the exact opposite and leak it and now her normal life can never ever be the same?
These are the very things that had concerned her very deeply when the restaurant had gained popularity and it’s the very reason that soon after, Aoi—or her original actor—stopped being too active. As a result, it lowkey made the restaurant even more popular cos now people were coming in the hopes of catching her there since she’d rarely show up once in a while.
Either way she did stop coming for a very long time, but when the manager (who is also her friend from college) asked her to come back a month or two ago to help drum up hype cos he was gonna reach the milestone of opening a new restaurant in another country. He’d promised that this was the last time he would ask Aoi’s actor this favor. “After this, I promise I’ll hire someone else to be her.” Funny how that had been the same thing that he’d told her actor the very first time they made Aoi come alive all those years ago.
