Forest elf prince: Niedrinn

ANOTHER ELF YALL!!!

Meet Niedrinn, the prince of the Forest Elves! A brilliant, talented and phenomenal leader in all aspects, his people look upon him with admiration and affection. However, Niedrinn has an obsession with acquiring perfect things and people. The finest objects, the finest people, the finest! He wishes to be surrounded by perfection. This isn’t really as bad in elven society.

But you know what IS bad?

Sickness. Sickness—which is viewed as something that just happens and is out of the control of the individual in human society— is seen as a personal failing in Elven society. Elves don’t… get sick. They don’t get colds or whatever. For an elf to fall ill, it often means they were careless and interacted with poisonous plants or dangerous animals, which normally doesn’t happen. Elves know where and what is safe, so if you get sick, it’s assumed you disregarded that knowledge and carried on. And Niedrinn is sickly.

This is a very very closely guarded secret within the palace. Only a handful of people know about it, and Niedrinn pretends flawlessly that he isn’t sickly. Yes his physical appearance is defo not giving “health and wellness” but he pretends in all other aspects to be strong and wise. In reality he has extreme sensitivity to the sun and often passes out and is bedridden for theee days after, cannot eat pure meat or else he’ll get horrible digestive issues (he needs to eat the meat mixed with some select vegetables which other elves do not do), his muscles cramp up a lot and leave him in great pain a lot. His skin is also a little sensitive and he oft has horrid rashes when he wears certain fabrics for too long. The problem is that it’s quite a few fabrics thst elves traditionally wear.
