2022-08-13 15:11:12 +0000 UTCAs much as I do prefer medium rare over well done, it's just that A PREFERENCE! People can like things different than you! It's like for burgers, restraunts are allowed to ask how you want them cooked, people prefer them medium rare where I, on the other hand, prefer it cooked how the FDA recommends to prevent food poisoning well done. And before someone asks why the FDA recommends well done for burgers and is more lenient with steaks, its because when you cook a steak, you are killing all of the surface level bacteria, but as soon as you grind the seak to make ground beef, all of that surface level bacteria is now mixed throughout the whole patty.
