I went to my first rugby game yesterday. It was a BLAST! Which got me thinking: Would you RATHER go to a live sports match OR live music?!
Sundays video is one I've been working on for a while - Tudor's sales slump. Honestly, Tudor is in a very pronounced slump - which was really surprising to me as a big enthusiast! I love Tudor! Most of my friends love Tudor! IDK - it was really surprising to see how hard of a year they had between 2023-2024; and wondering if that will be an even worse number between 2024-2025. I still want lots of Tudors ;) Specifically the Pelagos ULTRA at the moment. But I'd love to know if you're surprised by this as well - or if you kinda expected it. Let me know!

YUP! It's a lot harder to find topics and like... I have a harder time knowing what topic will resonate with people. Unfortunately the videos that do the best right now are kinda negative brand assessments. The mood is kinda... Low! Whereas a few years ago - it was just pure watch reviews that did the best! Like "OMEGA Seamaster - here's what's good here's what's bad!" I completely get it though - topics are getting BEATEN TO DEATH! And I've found.... Like... My interest in watches is still high.... But my interest in watch YouTube is at an all time low. Exactly what you said - so much of the same topics. There's scarcely a video where it's like "I NEED TO CLICK THIS IMMEDIATELY" haha! But I'm cooking up some new exciting stuff! Well... I think it's exciting lol! It'll probably get 12 views (all from patrons haha!).

I think what young, cool people wear and the fashions they are attracted to is very different than what watch geeks think is cool haha! And you're sooo right on Apple Watch Ultra! AND TO BE FAIR: I could see why it would be seen as the ultimate tool watch. Like - if your sport is running or cycling - that makes a lot more sense than... a Pelagos lol! Even the Chronos! (I MEAN - I'd obviously choose a Tudor Chrono cycling haha! But would most people?! Maybe not!)

2025-09-21 09:10:27 +0000 UTCGood points on Gen Z & really anyone new to buying a "nicer" watch. Most people now view an Apple Ultra as the ultimate tool watch. So when it comes time to shop for a dressier watch or a grown up watch a Sub/Black Bay etc seem redundant. Plus with High/Low fashion trends I think wearing jeans and a t-shirt with a dress watch seems a perfect way to step up an outfit.

I have my YouTube favorites, you are number 1, but my interest is just less than it once was. After my switch to 'one watch' per brand I have a hard time finding what is next, and the watch topic is getting a bit 'beaten to death'? How hard do you have to think about the topic for your next video? I'm sure a lot harder than a couple of years ago. Agree?
