Another important point to remember when discussing with MRAs: If I'm beating someone over the head with a stick, and you take my stick away, I'm not being oppressed.

this is a really good point. There is a big difference between fight for rights for women and fighting for equality for women. In the States several years ago there was a movement that tried to take maternity leave away from women because it was considered to not be "Equal" luckily nothing came from this, but it shows the danger of equality because men and women truly aren't equal but that doesn't mean either should be mistreated or misrepresented.

There's a difference between fighting for rights for women and equal rights for women, though. Look at Valerie Solanas who wrote that she wanted death camps for men. I'd call that a wrong way of championing the dismantling of male power.
