Creativity and innovation isn't exactly promoted by the Hollywood system. If a movie comes out that does it, does it well and goes over well you'll have a dozen movies with that theme the next year. Or to paraphrase "Yes, Minister" - it's not something mustn't be done, only that it mustn't be done for the first time.
