2015-05-03 19:01:19 +0000 UTCI loved the movie at the time, but it didn't leave the lasting impression that the first one did. I think that you're right it suffers from being the middle child and having too much going on. It needs to tie up too many things and introduce even more. And yeah, the reason they have a different back-story is copyright reasons, the concept of 'mutant' and the character of magneto are owned by Fox at the moment. Most likely anytime they need to introduce a character who was traditionally a mutant they will either connect it to the infinity stones or just make the person an inhuman which is basically the same thing power wise; but without the gay rights coding as the Inhumans don't really suffer from prejudice. Also these movies need to stop teasing Wakanda and Black Panther and just damn well show them all ready! I want Black Panther!!!
