(2m10s into the video, for anyone wondering.) 30 years ago I spent three years at university working in Stage Admin for the SU. I was a mediocre lighting tech and a shockingly-poor sound guy, but even now I can't watch a play or a gig without analysing the sound and light. Sometimes it just ruins it for me, but other times? Other times it's *marvellous*.

I was going to put this in the Youtube comment, but I hadn't really gathered my thoughts at that point. I suppose that seeing Jill and Ursa as separate entities is easier for an offline life, and when separation is needed. But for me, I still move in circles where people are known by their online nicknames or usernames. The Demoscene's famous Sir Garbagetruck (Who in reality is a Nice American fellow named Andrew that lives in Finland) would probably be just as recognisable in person by any other name, owing to his beard, and being the kind of frood that always knows where his towel is (Literally, dude wears one around his neck!) And yeah, the Character of "Funky Monkey", which is more the costume and me in it, isn't really that far from who I am. But I've loved the pretense of Drama for many years, and I'm not so comfortable stepping out into the lights, figuratively naked. So yeah, I'm still Funky. But Simon is there somewhere.
