This one was great. I really related to feeling inferior on the holidays. I’ve always never liked holidays or my own birthday could never figure out why. I spent a lot of them alone but not all of them. The word inferior explains it so well. It just reminds me how broke I am. Or how alone I really am. Or how much I’m still in the same spot. Holidays always been reflective for me. It’s a dangerous mindset to always be down on holidays instead of just being grateful you are still around. An old childhoods friend texted me yesterday telling me his 43 year old mother has leg cancer all the sudden. This woman I remember seeing around the holidays back then and at my friends house. Life is so fucking tough and short. I guess as long as I’m standing illness free it ain’t all that bad?
