One thing I really do like is that the Allies' friendship doesn't get in the way of doing bad things to the characters themselves. Therese not hesitating to do what she did at the end really helps to emphasize that she does hold different standards for different party members which helps to make her more fleshed out and real. Very big fan of that. Personally, I think what makes the most RP sense is that Therese and the other will probably not be able to make peace and this is going to end with a party member dead. Maybe multiple party members dead depending on how the Mother gets involved. Way more interesting than just a back and forth battle. Personally, I'd just tell Therese to run away.

But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
